Cheers, haven't watched that for a while, one of the best.

Here's another: The Big Sky, great video.

The 'audience' along the sides are fan club members invited along to the shoot.

Every now and then I get blokes in the pub scoffing at the fact I like Kate Bush.

Then I tell them about the video where she's naked, wrapped in cling film and writhing around in a bubble.

They then do that thing where they try to look like they're not rushing home to Youtube Kate Bush naked, wrapped in cling film in a bubble but really they're rushing home to Youtube Kate Bush naked, wrapped in cling film in a bubble.

Nice, but gone forever. Chances of seeing the Babooshka costume at the Apollo, counting back from zero.

Nah, it's still on YouTube, it's under K. And if you can't find it there it's under B.

I had a dream the other night that I had tickets for a Kate Bush warm up show in a community centre in Rhydyfelin in Pontypridd.

It was brilliant, she looked and danced exactly like she did when she was 19. She opened with a new song that was unbelievably good and then she did Cloudbusting but she forgot the words an had to have a big conversation with the stage manager while she was standing on my foot.

Best. Dream. Ever!

I am seriously broke this month having bought 2 KB tickets and both anthologies

Going through the thread and sad that there's so many broken youtube links, most of them are probably mine heh, lost my 'zounds' account a few years back due to copyright on the Hammersmith gig.

Here's a performance of Army Dreamers that oldtimer55 posted in 2009 that I'd forgotten about, it's mimed, but great to see a different interpretation.

Oh yeah, and it was Pi day on March 14th, so a late excuse to post this:

If it helps, I feel ancient when I read comments on Youtube videos for 1990s music where people talk about not having been born when whatever the song was came out. I always feel rather weird when I see anyone who has a birthday listed as being any time after about 1995.

Listening to Running Up That Hill (my all time favourite Kate song) and I was wondering what people thought of it when it was released in 1985? Did it seem different to other songs that were released at the time and also its impact?

Sorry for all the questions.

I was a teen and RUTH stopped me in my tracks the first time I heard it.
I remember it clearly as tuning into Eastern European radio stations late at night on LW radio and heard, literally, the dying notes of the song. About 15 minutes later I tuned into a guy called Tom Ferry on BBC Scotland and he introduced a KB new release, the intro hypnotised me and my heart literally thumped with every beat.
There had been lots of Kate's earlier stuff around the house which I tracked down and played and from there was hooked. I'd heard her stuff like the kick inside and never for ever before but after RUTH I heard it all with fresh ears and a growing appreciation of her talent.
I mourn the days of listening to crackling European radio in the dark

Thank you for sharing that Was there thunder in your heart? It's a magnificent piece of art (I see it as art). When I first heard it it transported me to another planet, it's so hypnotic and the lyrics have so much meaning.

Keep the memories coming! I'm getting more and more excited for Before the Dawn as the days go by!

Hey digit, yeah I've been meaning to go to one of their gatherings for many years, especially the last couple of parties at Vauxhall, but just never got around to it.
The tribute band 'Cloudbusting' playing motivated me to make it this year, they are very good.

I've just got tickets to see the Dandies in July as well (small place, bowling alley near O2 London - http://london.brooklynbowl.com/event...arhols-london/ )

Can't believe I'm going to make the Homeground gathering, see The Dandy Warhols and Kate all within a few months - just hope I don't drop dead tomorrow!! I haven't done enough to justify Karma being that much of a bitch I hope! hehe

Take care man.

Yes, fabulous news. As all fans will instantly see, this means we're definitely getting most if not all of The Ninth Wave.

BTW, still haven't actually received my tickets. Does anyone know if these have been printed yet?

I'm sure they will wait until the last minute to send out tickets to try and beat the touts, even though you have to bring ID etc

as for the mirror, they said prince was going to turn up at Glastonbury and play with rita ora, so I wouldn't believe much of what they say
