I've been to a lot of gigs this year and in the past where no photos or recording was allowed, and it was both the artists security from the stage and back of venue and the venue security who kept an eye out for people and stopped them from using cameraphones for example. in the most severe cases people had phones taken off them and photos deleted and even thrown out. they were all warned not to take photos and they would be ejected if they did, yet some ignore this. prince for example has been against photos at gigs for a long time, long before cameraphones and his security shine lights at people if they are seen with cameras/phones filming, until they stop, and if they don't stop then another security person gets them and deletes the photos and sometimes throws them out. when prince played the appollo way back in 2002 you were made to turn all phones off and cameraphones weren't allowed in at all, and they checked at the door. so they can easily have a similar policy where the security stop people filming so the artist doesn't have to mention it. it does get annoying if people near you are filming as the security come over
of course if someone is discreet they may get away with it, and audio recording by stealth can be done discreetly

I`m guessing a burka wasnt` an option?
Someone will capture it in a semi-pro fashion or better and there`ll be DVDs on EBay within a day at most. Add to that the inevitable widely dispersed audio recordings as well and I will be interested to see what the eventual sales are for the official live releases.”
I doubt bootleg camcorder shot dvd sales will do much to harm sales of an official release. these are typically only of interest to the hardcore fans who will buy the official stuff too. I'm sure a lot of her fans won't be interested in watching crappy quality cams with audience audio. one things for sure, her fanbase aren't won't be used to listening to or watching audience recorded material from her

If she really cared that much about the fans perhaps this wouldn`t be her second only "tour" (residency really) in her career and perhaps she`d schedule more gigs and do those outside of London as well?”
I don't think it has much to do with caring about fans. but if she wanted to play outside of London for whatever reason she's doing the gigs then I'm sure the would. whether it's for the money or the fans. but maybe she will see how these shows go and add more later. but based on her past tour history I would imagine the chances of non London uk shows to be slim to zero and if she played more shows it would be US based first, such as LA and NYC, maybe chitown, and perhaps from European shows like paris, berlin, amsterdamn etc. she could do similar residencies in those capitals, but perhaps not as many shows as london
