John Carder Bush will be on BBC Radio 2 this Sat 7th (around midday), talking to Graham Norton about KATE: INSIDE THE RAINBOW.

As reported in Katebushnews.com.
Should be an interesting listen.

Who heard the interview? I thought he came across as a decent bloke and his photos of Kate are all the more astounding given that he's not a professional photographer.

Interview starts two hrs in.

Can't wait for my copy to arrive

i enjoyed it and although there was nothing earth shattering it was nice considering it's probably the closest person to Kate (still) who i've heard speak. some people may like to know that he didn't rule out a DVD of BTD either....... on saying that, neither did he rule it in

actually that was a genuine comment as you are obviously a massive fan but given that you only seem to want to moan and pick arguments i shall leave it be.
apologies if my perceived smugness has caused you offence, but this is an appreciation thread and i like reading of people's appreciation of Kate.
i shall leave it there with you.

I've just renewed my LP records of The Kick Inside and The Sensual World onto cds, as the records are getting worn now
Hard to believe that I first heard James and the cold gun nearly 40 years ago!
I really love these two albums

I saw them at the Homeground party last year, definitely recommend going to see them if you get a chance.

Of course, I'm sure Cloudbusting won't mind me saying, not a patch on the original!

I came across this band via Twitter when Kate was doing the Before the Dawn tour (still upset I didn't get tickets) and was really impressed by their cover of 'Under Ice'. Will check out these YouTube vids too.
Found myself watching The Kate Bush Story again last night on BBC. Loved the quote about how liking KB makes you feel a bit clever

Kate Bush: ‘He was wonderfully eccentric – and he was ours’
The singer-songwriter recalls a musical icon

David Bowie had everything. He was intelligent, imaginative, brave, charismatic, cool, sexy and truly inspirational both visually and musically. He created such staggeringly brilliant work, yes, but so much of it and it was so good. There are great people who make great work but who else has left a mark like his? No one like him.

I’m struck by how the whole country has been flung into mourning and shock. Shock, because someone who had already transcended into immortality could actually die. He was ours. Wonderfully eccentric in a way that only an Englishman could be.

Whatever journey his beautiful soul is now on, I hope he can somehow feel how much we all miss him.

Nice words. Glad to hear she's alive and well. Pity it took something as horrible as Bowie's passing for her to communicate.

I'd never seen this before but it was less about the sensual world and more about her career up to then. A good watch and Kate looking great

I think it is now safe to say there will never be a BTD dvd.

Unless anyone out there knows otherwise.

Am I the only one that's been checking the BBFC website for news on a too regular basis ?

Quite why KB can't even be bothered to tell people about what's going to happen to the BTD recordings, I don't know. With so many fans unable to get tickets for the BTD gigs, it would've been nice to thrown them all a bone. But no, it's too much trouble as usual.

What's the point of checking the official KB website? Bugger-all happens for years, and she isn't interested in spending the 5 minutes a month it would take to keep in touch.

These days I have to separate the peerless, magical quality of KB music, from the woman herself. To an extent, it's always been a case of KB doing whatever she wants and not giving a fig. But the more money she's made and the higher her legend has risen, ISTM that she's drifted into a world where she only talks to people like Elton John or Stephen Fry, and is now impossibly far away from those who have supported her for decades.

Or have I got it wrong, and she's actually ill? I sincerely hope that isn't the case. But, after the shock of Bowie, who knows. This is the biggest problem with artistes who have no real interest in their fans.
