Dunno if anyone else has watched any of these two programmes today but both have had X Factor sections. Everyone commented about how flat and awful Rachel was but were wondering why none of the judges would say it on the night.

Holly Willoughby was on This Morning and said there was one act who was completely flat, and although Phil & Fern didn't want to put her on the spot it became apparent who she was on about (Rachel) when both them two and Sharon (the TV woman) said how bad Rachel was.

So quite an interesting reaction today.

Rachel was appalling, so out of tune, I would really like to know why none of the judges said so. The more and more I watch this programme I think it has to be fixed.

Jane McDonald?

Lol, didn't she use to sing on some naff cruise ship? That's quite unbelievable how well she has done for herself and she shouldn't be slagging off anyone tbh.

I saw both programmes & agreed with what they said. Rachel did sing off key and i think she knew it. As for Daniel i wouldnt rush to vote to keep him n , he did sing better than her on saturday, Its true what was stated regarding him getting slated because he seems to appeal to an older age group and that if it was a prob then they shouldnt have an over 25 group. I personally think they should both have been in the bottom two.

The biggest shock for me on Saturday night was that Rachel wasn't in the bottom 2. Not that Laura was voted off the show! Rachel gave the poorest performance IMO - even Eggnog gave it a good shot this week!

Quite right (even about Eoghan).

I can only imagine that some people's TV sets filtered Rachel's performance through Autotune or something.

Either that or it was the dreaded sympathy/rebound vote. It's a joke!

Why are people not surprised that Eoghan is getting saved every week when he has been off key on the majority of his performances?. It was obvious that Rachel was not her usual spunky self on Saturday and some viewers and the judges clearly took that into account. I for one am glad they did because I'm enjoying her presence in the show.

Rachel was painful to listen to on Saturday, even the clip of her with the phone number was off-key.

I think the judges didn't want to come down too hard on her as some of her elderly victims of crime are coming forward.

She should have been out though. Simon for one was amazed she stayed in.

Rachel was terrible on Saturday the recap clip they kept showing of her as I said here on Saturday night only showed how bad she was she was the worst of the night and deserved to go the judges should stop going on about giving her another chance all the cr*p they said after her performance and encouraging ppl to vote for her was one of the reasons why 2 great acts ended up in the bottom 2 IMO!

I agree with you. Even Simon and Louis were united for once in wanting her to have the chance to continue on the show.

She is a raw talent, not one of the many on there that have been training and given opportunities by their family to improve. She is who she is. She's by no means perfect but she has guts and also the right to be on the show.

There obviously are others who feel the same way otherwise she would have been in the position of being eliminated this week.

Simon was the one saying for the public to keep her in his reaction was relief no matter how you try and dress it up...Maybe you should just accept that she is probably one of the favourites.

I think both Rachel and Danni were annoyed and upset at how the VT had been edited regarding their "disagreement". I think it was clearly over exaggerated for the sake of "Good TV" but you could see from Danni's demeanour and comments that she was visibly not happy, and I can only imagine that Rachel was too, but had no choice but to sing immediately.

She looked uncomfortable and tearful throughout the song and I think the judges decided that it would be unfair to be too harsh on her because of the circumstances. And I'm sure Danni would've cried foul if they did.

Because she wass truly terrible, really flat and off key and I can't believe they didn't hear that. She deserved to be bottom two, but I think they decided that it was unfair to upset someone and then make them sing.

Such a favourite that betfair have her at 49/1 to win. Shes only popular with the judges.

I like Rachel, but have to agree with this comment.

I think the Judges were too afraid to say the truth.

The judges don't want her to go because she is hugely controversial and assures publicity week after week for the show. As this thread confirms , it's only monday and already it has been mentioned on two tele programmes.
