Christmas Number One
I've been thinking this over since last year, and have decided that this year we should campaign to make the Christmas Number One an actual Christmas-related song.
So, instead of buying the X Factor single on that week, put off buying it until the next week - and instead, spend the money you saved on a Christmas song. ![]() My reasoning is that Christmas as a holiday is slowly going down the toilet, and the mandatory X Factor ballad does not help matters. I don't care if the winner gets to number one the next week - but let's all make sure that a Christmas song gets the spot on that week.

This will probably be released the week before christmas. OK its Quo but it is a proper christmas song full of cheese just like all good christmas songs should be. |

The only way X-Factor WON'T be No.1 is if they release it after Christmas. It's all about money though and Cowell knows it wouldn't sell as many in the lull after Christmas.

I'm hoping Peter Kay releases a Xmas Pop Factor record that's beats the X-factor winner to No. 1. How sweet that would be!

![]() But anyway, I would LOVE for either 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' or 'Fairytale Of New York' to be Christmas No.1. |

Everyone should boycott the X-Factor single to stop it becoming No. 1.

I know it's only a bit of fun but i get seriously pissed off when every year the X Factor winner gets the #1 regardless of quality. I HATE THE X FACTOR!!!!
![]() It's even worse when genuinely good songs miss out. It's a bit of a shame that christmas songs don't really get released now It's a good job that when they were being done they were great. You can't beat Fairytale of New York of Merry Christmas Everybody

Love it to be either:
Killers 'Human' Girls Aloud 'The Loving Kind' I love the X Factor (although now Laura's gone it won't be the same, lost any credibility it had) but hate the fact that they always have a Xmas number 1 (apart from when Band Aid 3 did it) |

Can anyone actually name any of the Xmas No.1 songs by The X Factor winners?
I cant! Like the Quo song, more like the Xmas songs of the past. Chris Evans is pushing 'Little Drummer Boy' by Aled Jones & Terry Wogan for the Xmas No1......... Dont mind who is as long as its not the X Factor winner! Yawn! |
