Sony Ericsson K800i

Hi All,

I have just had the phone unlocked to shift it from Vodafone to O2. Is it possible to get rid of all the Vodafone references on it, such as the toolbox etc? I.e. start from a completely "clean" mobile?

TIA,

Neil.

Does this de-branding step also "unlock" the phone from having to use the Network's SIM?

No it wont unlock it, it just removes all the network crap they have put on the phone, you can patch unlock it for free if its a DB2020 Cid 52 phone.

Magic. Cheers for the info.

Would need to have a wee look at the ol' K800i to see if it falls under that ID code. That and remove Orange's pish firmware!

Was going to flash the phone while it was still under contract, whereas now I'd rather take an unbranded K800 out with me to concerts etc. than the iPhone...!
