Anyone else think her version of Hero was wayyy worse than the original one she did and also way worse than what the finalists did...!

I hated the way she did that and for that should have been sent packing!!!

I actually thought her new song was pretty terrible, didn't see her perform on the results show though!

Mariah was easily the worst performer of the night. Just like Girls Aloud were easily the worst of the night a few weeks back.

Ironic, in't it? The X Factor contestants will never be heard of again after this, but these talentless/way-past-their-prime douchebags will continue to be "stars" whom future X Factor auditionees are meant to "look up" to.

I read on a comment on YouTube she's recently had Plastic Surgery and can't move her lips properly, which, watching it back looks the possible reason.

Well, I didn't want to be the one to say it...

I like Mariah, don't get me wrong and she has a great voice. But I wasn't keen on the new track and I think the finalists version of "Hero" was better!!

Lol at the thread title.

Yes ....she was by far the worst of the night ! Just so plastic, rigid and without emotion. If she'd been a contestant she would have been hauled over the coals for her delivery of Hero, yet the judges gave her a standing ovation

Simons's bum licking of her was cringeworthy. I'm sure Mariah would have looked embarassed if her face still had the ability to form expessions.

Don't worry, I am pretty sure that after Saturdays show she left faster than a tactically voted off performer, regardless of how well she sang

She was in tune but modified the song to fit her decreased range, and nowhere near the worst on the night.

Yes wasn't it!! And supposedly she'd been a pain and kept them hanging around for hours (indeed this could be cobblers) yet he still brown nosed her like she was the second messiah!

.....ah that would account for her weird facial expression then

The judging begins:

Louis: You did okay, but I felt something was missing, you got no personality, you didn't connect with the audience. Westlife did that tons better. Simon only likes you because you agreed to appear on American Idol.

Cheryl: You sang it well, but I felt you weren't singing it to me or the audience tonight, but you look beautiful, I couldn't take my eyes of a yer.

Dannii: Well, for a woman who had flown in, suffering from jetlag and a small dressing room, I think that was pretty cool. And you are so current, and your YouTube hits show that people love you. We chose the song together and you delivered. You go girl.

Simon: And go she might. Okay, this is how it is........let me finish........right Mariah, you know I like you, but that was excruciatingly wrong, and here's why. You looked like you had an ironing board strapped to your spine throughout the performance, and I gotta tell you it sounded like the iron must have been lodged in your throat. I'd be very surprised if you make it through tonight, sorry.

Alexandra can out sing Mariah IMO. Both are similar singers, if Alexandra performed Hero on her own she would bring the place down unlike Mariah. Thats just from her short parts.

Yu uh uuuuuuuh! is how Mariah kept singing the word you in her rendition of Hero... she seemed unable to complete her words in one breath and sort of broke the words up into three or four bits.

It is the first time I have ever seem Mariah sing on stage I have only ever seen her in Video's Man it was disappointing.

She also looked like a shop dummy as she wouldn't move!

You know the judges better than they know themselves. Perhaps missing a 'world class' and 'potentially' in there somewhere.

I didn't get the bum licking really - she was 3 hours late and caused Eggnog to miss his rehearsal as a result. Apparently, if what I've read is true, Simon was livid with her. I just don't know why they had her on the show, with her dressing room full of puppies and other stupid things on her rider. She's not even that great a singer any more (was she ever? Well OK when she was 20 maybe).

I wish they'd do a Pink week.

I wasn't keen on her new song either. To me, she has no stage presence and I was bored of her performances..
