They probably got thier story from here.

It's poor Ruth I feel sorry for in all this, not Laura.

Just like when people complained when Leon won, people always experience problems somewhere. I liked Laura but I doubt it was fixed.

All that article says is that some of Laura's fans say that it must have been a fix.
There's no prove in that article just sour grapes.
It happens all the time someones favourite goes so it must have been a fix.

I'm the same, but the general consensus is that Ruth should not have been in the bottom 2 either. I hope the PR team at X Factor let her read comments on Facebook, on here etc to show she does have support. I bet she feels like crap atm.

Well I voted for Laura and got through fine. Making a mountain out of a molehill. People thought she was safe and didn't vote. It's a more plausible explanation. Though it wouldn't be unheard of if phonelines were rigged.

She was one of the two who got the least votes.

Ruth blew us away again with a great song. Laura sang in Jazz for the umpteenth time.

It was straight forward.

Funny, didn't Ruth sing a rock-type song in her sing off last time? Laura doesn't sing jazz songs, she has a jazz style. Ruth's picked songs of similar genre twice - whether it works or not. So your argument doesn't really make sense.

I bet not every one of those 10000 actually voted for Laura on Saturday.

My friend tried to vote for Ruth 6 times and got a message of 'unknown number' each time and gave up. I'm sure everyone has trouble voting for their favourite.

Though the voting seems crazy this year.

I bet Simon is loving the publicity

All this will do is make him think that he might want to push another favourite out of the door.

'All publicity is good publicity'? You'd better believe it

The whole "fix" concept is so overrated.

It happened last year when Leon won over Rhydion (though I wanted Rhydion to win) and now with this. I didn't kick up a fuss.

No matter who you vote for, there will always be some that will have difficulty getting through. It's pointless using the "I couldn't get through" excuse because it happens to everyone, including Ruth.

In no way was it fixed. She simply didn't recieve enough votes in the same way Austin did. It's the name of the game.

The petitions and claims of a fix wont bring her back.

Why all the big bloody fuss? It's not like she wont get a record deal it's so blatently obvious she will..Talents like Laura are better off out the show because

A) She can't be moulded into what Cowell and co want..

B) She can do her own thing

c) She will be a more credible artist

People should really think before they start shouting fix and coming across like they have 'sour grapes' it wont help Laura to move on.

Hope the daily stars lawyers are feeling bright and perky - If I produced the X Factor I'd be looking at legal action. Putting the word "fixed" in inverted commas does not really change the gist of what they've tried to make it say.

What hystrionic crap!

Do you really think she will get a contract?

I hope she does but she is under contract to the Xfactor for the next year

by the time that contract ends there will not be so much 'buzz' about her and the intrest could die out

It happend with Javine on popstars. She was told from day one she was in the band so people didn't vote thinking she was safe. When she didn't make the band it was called a fix.

It's really not unheard of for things to be fixed ... even if this is the Daily Star. People just roll their eyes but these things have gone on in television.

I wouldn't say one way or the other as to whether it was or not, but i think it was very telling that Louis made the call to get rid of her rather than take it to deadlock with two such big name contestants. That makes me think more than anything it was a fixed thing to get her out now.
