Samsung Combined DVD/VCR

Has anyone seen these combined Samsung DVD/VCR's? I've seen them in Dixons and Comet there £399 which is steep.

At home we have an old Mistubushi VCR which is over 11 years old and i think its on its last legs, a Panasonic 21" TV and a Grundig Sky Digibox the TV and Digibox are both 2 years old, Id like to join the DVD revaloution but i still record lots of programmes, I thought this would work out cheaper and save space instead of 3 boxes what do u think?............

What TV/Video reviewd this device a couple of months ago and did not think very much of it.
The conclusion reached was to purchase separate VCR and DVD s which incidentally would work out cheaper £300 - £350.

Should I replace the VCR first and wait for the DVD player or buy both together, I also have to convince my parents who are technophobics, my dad isnt convinced with DVD he dosent even think we need a new VCR.

Id be paying for both myself

I want to join DVD lol...................
