Ruth - Probably one of the best 'Over 25's' we've had...
What does everybody else think?
Series 1 Steve Brookstein Rowetta Satchell Verity Keays Series 2 Brenda Edwards Andy Abraham Chico Slimani Maria Lawson Series 3 Ben Mills Robert Allen Kerry McGregor Dionne Mitchell Series 4 Niki Evans Beverly Trottman Daniel DeBourg Series 5 Ruth Lorenzo Daniel Evans Rachel Hylton ---------------------------- Brenda still tops the chart for me as the best ever X Factor contestant, but Ruth talent-wise comes a very close second. The only other good 'Over 25's', were Rowetta, Andy, Maria, Ben and to some extent Niki. |

I loved Maria Lawson, I think she should have gone much further than she did. Her rendition of You're beautiful was amazing and I hate Blunt's original! She actually made me like it.
I also liked Brenda and Ben. Niki and Beverly were good too. For me, Ruth is probably the second best over 25 behind Maria. I do like Ruth. But I'm behind Dan now because if they want to act like jokers I will treat it accordingly. |

Definitely, Ruth is one of the best over 25s ever. I liked Brenda very much too, and Rowetta was fantastic though not to my tastes. They'd probably be my top 3 over-25s.

Aww Robert was lovely! But Ruth is probably the best, IMO, as I'm not into the whole Whitney/Mariah thing that Niki, Bev etc had going on, whereas I like Ruth's rock chickiness.

Noone will ever top Brenda
![]() Ruth is definitely in the top 3 though. I did like Niki last year but only when she was on it. She could horribly screw up and was very hit and miss. |

I thought Ruth would be bland and Eurovision (as Simon seems to want her) but she's proved me wrong and I hope she survives past Eoghan and Daniel (nothing against them but they're the weakest in the competition).

I always thought Dionne was fantastic.
I mean watch this http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ELh59H82Qhk Can't believe she was in the bottom two, in the first week, after that! She deserved to go alot further. At the time of series one I really liked Rowetta but she';s a bit like a fog horn to me now. I really love Ruth! |

![]() Of the females, Maria and Brenda get my vote, but I quite like Ruth's "rock chick" side. Also, I saw Dionne performing live last year (she was doing a gig with Ben) and she really impressed me. I don't think she really got a chance to show how good she can be on the X Factor. |

Rowetta
Brenda Maria Ben were all better, imo. I do love Ruth though, however it's usually only in the sing offs that she really impresses me. |

I really liked Ben, he was great and should of been in the final
He could put on a show (Maggie May, Live and Let Die), give an emotional performance (Smile) and an acapella one - well almost! - Somebody To Love ![]() He had a touch of singer-songwriter about him. Maria had real star quality (and was a babe!) Brenda was outstanding.

Ruth is good but nowhere near as good as Steve Brookstein, Rowetta Satchell, Brenda Edwards, Andy Abraham, Maria Lawson, Ben Mills, Robert Allen, Dionne Mitchell, Niki Evans and Daniel DeBourg. Quote:

Yes, she's most likely my favourite too.
Although I did really like Maria, Brenda and Andy. |
