No, I am presuming it was the 5th, but if not it was definitely the 4th.

EDIT - as in if the article was on the internet at 1am on the 6th say, then last night could be referring to the evening of the 4th.

Would you though? Plenty of people I know have confused a sore throat or cough with it, Laryngitis sprouts numinous symptoms and side effects so it is iffy to tell unless you get diagnosed -- the only way to be certain having a camera poked down your throat as your Larynx turn bright red.

“So she pulled a sicky to miss a week she could not cope with. Not impressive is it?”

That's your opinion, and that is fine. I'm not gong to try and convince you otherwise -- all I will say is it would not have been Diana's decision if she were to perform or not. It would have been her mentor, vocal coach, parents, show producers, etc and she did state in her VT (and announced by Dermot) that she was going to perform, until her GP advised her not to again.

You mean the bonfire? It was on Wednesday the 5th.

Sorry but your wrong, If X factor can report that Diana may not sing becuase she was ill on a Tuesday, then Diana would have known she was ill on the Tuesday.

Therefore she should have been at home on the night of Bonfire night not out screaming.

She had what she thought was a cold, but nobody knew it laryngitis until Thursday

I'm referring to my earlier post about the Sun article where she was out with her boyfriend and having a takeaway.
The article is dated the 6th and refers to "last night".

This is as well as the bonfire video.

As no-one is willing to come forward then obviously she was faking it. Anyone with two brain cells has already realised this. It's those who are her fans that are blinded by their devotion to her, who can't see that.

The evidence of the firework party, the screaming, the sudden recovery etc etc.

Maybe she was out with her bf in the daytime and then bonfire in the night

Apologies, I thought you meant the bonfire. What was your point, then? Something about the takeaway?

It crushes the Laryngitis claims, it does not crush her stupidity to go out when she had a cold. Perhaps she thought by wrapping up warm and standing near the bonfire she'd be okay? She still would have performed if she had a cold, but like I said, she was then diagnosed with Laryngitis on the thursday which is much more serious and severe.

It'squite possible going to the bonfire turned the cold into laryngitis, or it could have been a bad throat like Alex had then turned into laryngitis

That's one of the most logical answers I've seen from a diana fan. Thanks LR

But that means

a. Official xfactor website lied to public
b. Cheryl lied to public, that she did not had her training whole last week

I think the point people are trying to make is according to the X factor website she lost her voice on Tuesday yet was oohing and aahing and speaking to the camera at the fireworks which were definitely on Wednesday 5th November (the Rudolph Steiner ones anyway)! It's irrelevant when she was diagnosed she knew she was ill. That's a pretty miraculous recovery to be voiceless one day but in full (speaking) voice the next. Then for it to return on the Thursday.
I don't care who wins X factor or who gets elimated each week and because I have an open mind about this I can see the facts for what they are and it makes me suspicious, as well as others - likers and dislikers alike!

And that makes it ok. NO she and X factor should want the best for her therefore she should have been resting then. Not outside in the cold.

From what I gathar when Alex had a bad throat she couldn't practice either, so if that;s what Diana had to begin with makes sense that she couldn't either

Regardless of whether Diana knew the severity of her illness on the Wednesday she attended the Bonfire night, given that she had been missing vocal practise since the Monday due to a 'sore throat' then as a singer surely she should have known that she should not be going out on a cold November evening in order to protect her damaged vocal chords. If Cheryl was such a fantastic mentor then she should have at least told Diana it would be advisable not to attend the Bonfire night do. I liked Diana but I have no sympathy at all with someone who supposedly is ill doing something to furthur worsen their illness.

Very well said.

Diana has no sympathy for me, She knew she was ill on Tuesday and yet she still went out on a cold Wednesday night therefore risking her health more. Which then made her illness worse therfore she brough the laryngitis on herself.

wow, whats going on here then. She was ill, who knows when she went to that bleeding bonfire night thing, I went to mine on sunday 2nd November, who's saying she didn't go before the tuesday like me.

I'm glad she'll be okay to sing. And anyone who is stupid enough to think that she would not have done well at Mairah Carey week has not been watching any of the shows. She has been possibly the only real adaptable artist there this year, thats why she is favourtie. She makes any song suit her. I think she was going to sing always be my baby on Mariah Carey week, thats not really an all out shout-athon like the majority of Mariah songs.

I can't wait until saurday so we can forget about Laura and move on with the show.
