Why are people blaming everyone else except Laura for her exit?

Petitions, accusations of 'fix', Mentions in the house of Commons, slagging off Louis .. because a singer who did a naff performance got booted off a talent show?

The reason she's out was because this week she wasn't very good. Neither song was anything special, and her second one was in a head to head sing off against a much better performer. The magic piano didn't do her any favours either.

Only Rachel did worse but for whatever reason the public voted to keep her in. Both the ones who usually get slated on here - Daniel and Eoghan put in decent, tuneful performances (probably their best yet), and I'm no fan, just being honest.

The public put her in the bottom two and she was outclassed by the opposition. End of!

The fact that Laura has since said she was 'very happy' with her performances and can't understand why she's out are also worrying. She obviously isn't hearing what the rest of us heard on Saturday night.

Exactly the only ones to blame are Laura and her fans...

What did you hear? Because by my reckoning, Daniel, Eoghan and Rachel were a a lot worse. Seriously.

But Rachel really was flat and sounded awful. Eoghan really did sound as if they needed to restrain him. Daniel - tbh I can't remember what he sang on Saturday or how he did!

But Daniel and Eoghan were better then they were before so the public would have been thinking "wow, that's not bad" where Laura was worse, "She wasn't very good this week" so less people would have voted for her, Rachel was extremlely upset after singing and people would have felt for her

Laura put on good performances - certainly better than at least 3 people left in the competition.

It's the public who are to blame, because they simply have no taste -- just look at most of the crap infesting the charts.

I heard a singer with a potentially amazing voice mess it up big time, singing in a whingey manner and mis-pronouncing her words whilst pretending to play a piano that carried on playing all by itself when she stood up.

I heard the same singer murder a classic song in the sing offs against a performer who was better than her in every department.

I also heard two singers with not such great voices (one of whom has taken a huge amount of stick) raise their game considerably, and put on their best performances of the series thus far.

The only thing I agree with you about is Rachel, who was off key and gave the weakest performance of the night.

Rachel certainly was. But she clearly has people backing her. Sadly.

People on Facebook are writing to OfCom apparently to complain...urm, seriously?! Yes I know Laura is a good singer but you can't complain when someone gets voted off a reality TV programme. Yes, when Eastenders write off a character, then complain if the urge takes you. But the only reason that Laura got voted off was because she did a 'poor' performance which the public did not seem to like. Bad decision, yes, as was last week with Austin going - IMO - but shi*t happens.

Why are we bringing Rachel into this? She's got a fanbase who will vote for her obviously Laura's got a fanbase where they stupidly thought she was safe so didn't vote..Rachel had her fans there for her on the night Laura didn't that's the difference.

Laura was my favourite. However Saturday was not her best performance and although I don't think she should have been bottom two, it happened. When they showed her compilation film of clips from her previous performances I was sad that someone who was so good went out early but I am mature enough to handle it without more than a couple of months worth of counselling.

Lol that's EXACTLY what I thought!

I never vote anyway though.

I like to keep the show as purely an entertainment thing for when I have nothing else to do on a Saturday/Sunday night. Plus I'm not into the kind of music that they churn out at the end of it anyway.

Laura trashed her sing-off song, it took me ages to decide what she was singing! She was a bit rubbish on Saturday, and obviously didn't have the fanbase people thought she had. But she is a lovely looking girl and a brilliant singer.

It makes me question our government when they feel they have to talk about it!
There was no injustice in it. She didnt get the votes from the public or the judges!!
I think they should find something important to talk about, like the economy, or knife crime, or the war in Iraq!

The only thing people can really blame (outside of Laura herself and the voting public) is the running order and the impact it has on the voting.....but half the contestants have to appear in the first half of the show so it will always harm someone.

(having said that, the running order should be widely varied .I don't think it's fair that JLS have been allowed to sing in the second half of the show for 4 weeks running)

Were they talking about it being a fix or just Laura going in general? I had no idea about this

Can't believe it was talked about in the house of commons it is kind of pathetic. I was listening to Chris Moyles as much as I disagree with the daniel thing he is doing I agree with what he said that the reason Laura went is allot of people did not vote. I didn't want Laura to go but I bet most people on here that are complaining about he going did not vote.
