I just think we need judges who aren't voting people off tactically or to score points off one another or to hack off other judges, instead of voting on the talent of the contestants.

I think it would have been far better if the judges weren't mentors to the acts (as was the case in Pop Idol) and then they would be judging them fairly and with an unbiased stance.

Whilst I agree with that idea in theory I don't actually believe it.
Simon has his favourites and I firmly believe that is based on what he believes the public will buy into and who he wants to win. Personally I think the judges vote how Simon tell them.

I see your point but I still think the outcome would be fairer if the acts weren't mentored by the judges. Also I don't think they all vote how Simon wants them to, especially Louis .
