The Cha Cha has actually the lowest average score of all dances.
The main factor in this is that it is usually a week 1 dance for men and so will automatically get lower scores.
There have been 11 Cha Chas in Strictly history that have scored under 20 points and all of them (apart from John) have been scored in week 1.
Just for interest, this includes both Darren Gough and Matt Dawson, both of whom scored 19 for their week 1 Cha Chas. Gethin got a 22 and Matt DA got 23!
Highest week 1 Cha Chas? Colin Jackson with 32, followed by Aled Jones and Bill Turnbull with 29!!
