Yea, anyone else have info on this phone? I have only seen it as 'Coming soon...' in the Carphone Warehouse and The Link catalogues but nothing else. It looks like an excellent for a stupendous low price. Is this a great and cheaper alternative to the Samsung V200? I was thinking of the Motorola V300 for £169.99 on PAYG but it has been confirmed that they won't be releasing it on PAYG.

The o2 x1 is an awful phone I work for an independant company that deals with o2 with customer service issues and I can catergotically state I would rather own the worlds biggest brick than an X1, it is being returned in droves with faults not even the most inept companies in the world would see as acceptable.

I saw the X1 in Tesco and it's pretty big for a clamshell.
You can get the v500 this week for £115, much smaller and on Orange (so your texts might actually go through the same day )

Where can you get the V500 for £115? I take it that's on a contract?
Are they definately coming out this week because I ordered one on Kays.com & was told 8th December...? |

O2 X1 - 02 Active
Just called o2 and have found out that some phones have problems with connecting to 02 active. They are working on the problem but what's the point of releasing a phone that doesn't have core functionality working. I'm taking mine back today!

Well i finally recieved my phone after lots of hassle - in fact, i recieved two... something which still hasnt been sorted... i refused delivery and apparently they havent got it back yet... hmmm...
anyway, i digress... The X1... WELL.... put it this way, i wouldnt buy it again... It is a gorgeous looking phone - teeny, shiny with an excellent camera and screen. It has a nice touch in that you can add borders to your pictures like hearts and flowers and things - v.cute ![]() However.... The operating system is crap! like on nokias you have 'softkeys' - one button that does what it says on the botton of the screen if you press it. The X1, however, has two softkeys, both on the same side of the screen - the OK button and the green DIAL button.... and it changes randomly screen to screen which one you have to press in order to select something.... Adding new number is also very annoying and really time consuming. You have to press about five buttons just to call someone from your phone book and writing txts is just a nightmare - the predictive txt dictionary is awful. You cant add words to it so swearing or shortening words is completely out of the question....Also, the actual buttons on the phone sometimes don't work as well as they should do so u end up pressing the keys about five times just to get a simple letter out of it.... Also, when you return the phone to its factory settings, unlike other phones, it actually wipes EVERYTHING! so you have to enter all the wap and GPRS settings again for it to work ok - which would be easy except you can't send the settings to your phone automatically by text because the O2 website doesnt support the X1 yet!!! Ok, next bad thing...... The phone only holds twenty text messages and the copy function to copy texts, phone numbers and general phonebook details from your sim to the phone isn't compatible with sim cards that come from nokias....so if you want to transfer your two hundred contacts from your nokia to your X1, u have to do it all by hand - which is difficult considering it takes forever just to put one soddin thing in the phonebook in the first place! It should be said though that it may just have been a fault with my phone, i would have to ask others to see if the same thing had happened to them in order to see if its fact.... Also, the sim card takes forever to load on this phone.... So basically, if you want a phone that looks gorgeous that ur only gonna make calls on, buy this phone.... If u want actual *functionality* - i would suggest u run away VERY fast sam xx |

Well I charged it up for two hours, I turned it on and it froze twice, but since I gave it a full charge up last night I have had no problems yet. I actually find it to be a reasonably good phone.
