I love the show. It's different from last series, but unless we have clones, why should we expect it to be the same? Why are we looking for the Aleshas, Gethins or Matts?

I for one know that when it's over by December, I will suddenly realise how cold our winter is.

But right now, it's like come kind of a comfort food that I eat on a cold winter evening.

SCD! I love it!

John is a lovely, cuddly, witty man whose relationship with his chalk-and-cheese partner is a delight to watch.

Rachel's chemistry with Vincent is excellent and their routines always have plenty of variation and flair.

Lisa seems to have got the measure of Brendan and her style is getting better week by week.

Jodie's willingness to tackle any issues the judges point out has made her the competition's biggest improver

Cherie is one of the most graceful ballroom performers ever seen on the competition and has also got a great relationship with the notoriously hard-to-please James

And Christine's happy bounciness is a welcome antidote to the serious plodding of the try-hards every Saturday!

There we go, I've even managed to say something nice about the people I don't like!

My many comments on people's good relationships also prove what a good job the producers have done matching people up this series. It's no wonder we've got the closest race to the glitterball ever seen on SCD!

I've thoroughly enjoyed reading all your posts this series LL, and this was no exception

Awww Sid, high praise indeed. I assure you I'm blushing

Sooo...the judges:

Craig is generally always spot-on in his pronouncements - and if he says you're good, you can believe it.

Arlene does her best to give celebs something to work on every week, be it attitude or technical issues she thinks they can manage.

Len will always side with the underdog by trying to find something good about their performance, even if it's just saying 'you tried hard, well done'.

And Bruno tells it like it is with all the verve, bounce and spring of a well-done jive.

They might make daft, subjective mistakes occasionally, but all the judges, just like the vast majority of viewers, really do want to see fantastic dancing, and encourage the celebs with carrots and sticks in equal measure to get the best from them.

You also notice that they'll never dish out the really harsh criticism to someone they don't think can take it - Mark Foster and John Sergeant, for example, came up smiling after their tongue-lashings.

So rejoice in the judges' desire to give us a great spectacle and try to ignore the nit-picking - at the end of the day, we'll pick the winner and all they can do is try to ensure that person's been the best they can be

I thought popcorn was a US thing they're always rattling on about it. I did point out they would need a bigger car.

yes, yes I am loving the positivity Bravo Lorelei Lee !

Strictly judges are the best.
Yes, best-paid we know lol, but I do like their earnest.
And I especially like Craig's wonderfully large vocabulary
Thrills me to hear him speak words I only read in books
