No she will not return to the show

(unless they bring in a wildcard show)

She would not win it as they already know who they want to win

Eh?? Did they all collude? I honestly think you're giving the fans more credence and ability than is actually possible.

It isn't unheard of to have favourites in the final 2 - in fact it's pretty common - if she'd have survived this week no doubt she wouldn't be in the bottom two for some time. I think it's just unlucky and the piano thing worked totally against her.

Now this is like what somebody said above.

How (if other things were fixed) did Laura (and nobody else) draw the short straw?

Also, if Laura is so great as is being touted by supposedly many people who said she should have stayed and was the best - why does she need X Factor to succeed?

I think, people should buy her records and then we'll see how good she is.

It remains to this day, that the only raw talent, and un-publicised and un-managed talent is Diana Vickers

and she is getting the most views, more than the whole other contestants collectively - on the internet.

If the others couldn't make it with management and other forms of help - how is it different now? The X Factor?

But now people are criticising the X Factor - which has brought her the most attention...

It wasn't a fix. People should stop paying attention to the usual I COULDN'T GET THROUGH OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT WAAAA dramamongers. If Laura is half as good as the tens of thousands of people who are signing petitions believe she is, then she'll be in talks with a record label right now. I'm sure she'll have a very successful little album full of cover versions of Mariah and Whitney songs.

Everyone should just calm down. It's not as if any answering machine messages have been left here.

People just love to sign petitions. Think about it, if all those 20000 people phoned in and voted she wouldn't have been in the bottom two, and since they can't be bothered to phone in they probably won't be bothered to buy her records either.

And if it is a fix, complain to Ofcom or something. It would do more good than signing an internet petition, especially with the heat on TV phone in shows recently. But they won't because they know it's not a fix.

I think the show is manipulated such things as the VTs, styling, song choice, performance order, press leaks are all a part of this process which can aid getting rid of certain contestants.
However it can only achieve so much if the contestant has the public support then these subtle manipulations will fail.
Personally I do believe Simon seized upon the opportunity to get rid of Laura on Sat as I do believe she is closer competition than Ruth - however that said the fact she ended up in the bottom 2 indicates her chance of winning was very unlikely.

It's a straight forward question because if an unpublicised and unmanaged act is the most popular, as I have illustrated as she is ten fold above - how can you expect somebody who couldn't make it before the X Factor, then denounce the X Factor, which give her the most exposure?
