I hate having favourites it always ends in tears!!!

However I just don't take the show seriously anymore, I've had an insight on how it works and well it aint worth even winning!

Totally agree with you - hey who would of thought a Rhyd and Leon fan agreeing (joking)
Its much easier to just sit back and watch it for what it is without the emotional investment.

I like Ruth and Laura, but secretly hope JLS are good enough to win as i would like a group to win this year.

I dunno , that's a hard question. On the one hand , it's good to not have a favourite as then you're watching just for the entertainment (if you can call listening to Eoghan and Daniel droning on entertainment) but then the only time I don't have a fav is when I think the standard is poor so I won't enjoy the show.

The only year I had a favourite was X factor 2 where I love Brenda the others years I didnt really care who won. But I do find that I can enjoy the show more without a favourite and also have unbiased views on it all.

Once everyone I like has gone, I stop watching. I gave the series 2 final a miss, as I just didn't care which of the 3 won and had no interest in watching them perform.

haha, who'd've thought it?

yeah. it's better without the emotional involvement. can have completely unbiased views on the contestants

i love having a favourite although when they go out i take it so seriously...its not good to see like that although i didnt have a favourite in series 3 but it was more that i HATED HATED ray rather than liking anyone loads. Either way once one show is over im always looking forward to the next one

i think its better to watch with just a passionate feeling about someone wether it be love or hate. Makes it very addictive.

Same here. I was a Ryhd fan last year and am not bothered who wins this year, and have to say it is much more fun. I would hate to revisit the extreme fan wars of last year - my goodness it was vicious at times (from both sides of the divide).

It's far more enjoyable to watch it more as a neutral (also don't cost you any money in voting), and perhaps picking the more talentless ones you don't like and wish to leave (though as it's not a vote to who you want to leave you have to leave it to everyone else as I'm not going to vote for half a dozen people I like). You only have to see the bitter reaction some of the Laura fans gave towards Diana after Laura left, a spiteful, nasty, vindictive response to their favourite leaving....

Me I like listening to Diana, Ruth, Laura, Alexendra, Rachel, Austin, JLS, all pretty talented IMO and the 2 girl bands were all right. It's only Daniel, Scott and Owen who I don't like, though at this rate Daniel and Owen will be going far in the comp.
