Alison Warning ...
Kate's mate Alison made a guest appearance in today's episode of 'Doctors' (2.05pm BBC1)?
Alison played the part of the down to earth sister of a drug addict. Part 2 is on tomorrow. You have been warned. PS - Alison,of course, was really just Alison. I imagine her sister will overdose in tomorrows episode if Al turns up again.

Well, I thought the lass done good. A calm, confident performance. Mainly playing herself, but a lot of so-called 'actors' can't even do that properly...

At any point in that episode of Doctors, did she say,..."What you see is what you get?" |

Alison was OK, she was a lot more in character than some of the pratts...sorry...regulars on the show and all we need now is Cameron to become a visiting Doctor and the telly gets switched off.
Come on, she might be a big girl but can't be all bad......can she ???? |

Well, I can't be bothered finding it now but it has been linked several times on this forum - Alisons CV I mean
She has been acting on and off for 15 years including series on TV when she was a teenager, plays, pantomime As long as it was nothing too demanding I can't see why anyone would be surprised that she handled it competantly. She's an experienced performer. |

Well I think Doctors is a sh*te soap with a lack of decent actors in it anyway. Thank goodness Alison had the decency to appear on a show I can't stand, so she can't ruin it for me.

It wouldn't matter how sturdy the hospital furniture was, I'm sure Alison would have no trouble breaking it. I'm surprised they trust her near any of the props. Is GMTV work slowing down then, if she is looking for acting jobs now.

It pains me to say it, but I didn't think she was that bad in Doctors - not outstandingly good, but not as god-awful as you might imagine. I definitely prefer Alison as somebody else to Alison as Alison. Even if it was just a toned-down version of Alison, that's a step in the right direction. I found it hard to swallow that she was meant to be the sister of that very beautiful young woman, though.

Alison had a part in "Doctors" long before Big Brother 3 - is this show a repeat or is she appearing as a second character in the same soap?

Just watched the interview with Britney. Keeping up the theme of the other Fame Twin - Alison spent the part of the interview talking about herself ("I've only been in the spotlight for about a year..." then goes on to compare her fame with Britney's megastardom) and the interview ended with a lunging hug from Alison after Britney joked that she was impressed with Alison's dancing. Maybe we should rename them The Fame-Lunge Twins.
![]() Britney was very tactful when Alison asked her for diet tips To be fair on Alison, the interview was relaxed and humourous and her interviewing style has improved. Her technique of putting on a friendly, sympathetic face while her questions are answered is good. The interview was lively. But as with so many Big Brother contestants-turned-presenters, they don't quite twig that they are not the star and act like one mega star interviewing another. Britney looked 'cheerfully bemused' - especially when Alison started her "My Britney Audition" dancing. Part 2 of the interview is next Wednesday on This Morning, ITV 1. |
