According to the Mirror Laura was way ahead ...
in the phone votes .. would have been so much better for everyone had it gone to deadlock .. least then people would have known who was the most deserving to stay

regardless of who was ahead in the votes, this was always going to be a contentious bottom two .. therefore, to use the deadlock option would have saved all this hoohar!

It doesn't matter, it's the fact that she didn't get more votes than anyone else that's the problem. I was much more annoyed when Maria(from 2005) got booted out than this.

It doesn;t really make sense to me for them to purposely vote out one of the most favoured of the public, surely they know people will turn off and stop voting so they lose money?

Anyway, it's irrelevant know as far as Laura is concerned. She's gone and that's that. However, it would be another huge blow to the show's faltering credibility if it were proved to be true. The accusation of tactical voting would be proven if the mechanism put in place to insure against voting injustices were used to dump the more popular performer. |

There's no point the Judges voting at all, if all the decisions go to deadlock.
I do think they should have to write down their decision before any are revealed. That should put an end to many of the complaints. |

- She failed to get enough votes to avoid the bottom two.
- She was voted out by the judges after the sing-off. There have been no irregularities, no conspiracies, no fixes. The process is the same for everyone. Time to MOVE ON. |

There are a few options here:
a) The Mirror's a lying rag b) The Mirror was right, but the judging process means it actually doesn't matter, or c) Simon's managing the whole thing as usual and would like to galvanise Ruth's fans. I'm leaning towards c) because I'm like that. |

Even if she was ahead, she was still in the bottom 2, and probably would have gone next week. She isn't as popular with the General British Public as the majority of other acts.

On GMTV this morning when interviewing Laura they said that if it had gone to Deadlock Laura would have stayed,
I personally preferred Ruth so am pleased it didn't go there |

I think apart from a couple of acts who seem to have the majority of voters everyone else is very close so to suggest Laura was way ahead sounds a bit suspect to me...
And I've read elsewhere that Ruth was ahead so I guess we will never really know. |
