Fingers crossed for Jodie.

A bit of dangerous research reveals that on the yahoo poll the figures are in percentages 6, 6,7,8.10,12, 20 ,22 for those left. If you want to know who has what go to http://uk.tv.yahoo.com/poll_results.html?poll_id=39129

The poll is cumulative so things may have changed though not that much given totals. The point about the poll is that it explains every final two so far with teh exception of Jodie and Christine who must have gained. The DS poll doesn't - indeed its reversed in places. It implies who will go next, John staying longer unless support evaporates and who may well win.

Good spot. Someone is getting desperate to get rid of him. He's too heavy for her to lift him too......

Jodie is a lot more popular than she was in week 2 (her first dance), so she is less likely to be in the bottom two than she used to be. Won't be the top (Austin, Tom, Lisa) so any two of the rest is likely to find themselves in the bottom 2.

Cherie or Jodie v John. (I like Cherie and Jodie btw)

Think Austin is dancing a ballroom, plus his support, so safe. Tom will make a creditable job of the Salsa, so safe. Thus, if John survives the drop zone, it will be two girlies in the dance-off.

I think Rachel is in danger again this week. Few achieve high marks with the Rumba. It's low impact and doesn't generally excite people into getting up and jigging about. I can't see her being awarded more than 32, which would probably leave her mid-table.

As for the others, Cherie dancing a Latin could be tricky.

I guess if either of these two are dancing first, it could hamper their chances further.

I had expected John to go this week, but I do think he is now on borrowed time. If not this week then possibly next. People are beginning to question his continuing presence in Strictly, and as much better dancers leave at his expense, this will simply grow and the number of people voting for him will diminish.

According to the bookies, John's time is up.

I don't think John'll go yet. Don't think Christine will be bottom 2 either, I think she could be popular, especially as she's on Tv everyday. Austin and Tom won't go yet and I doubt Lisa will either.

So 2 out of Rachel, Cherie and Jodie.

I think Jodie will be safe this week, she has a Ballroom and does better in the ball room. Cherie and Lisa both have fast latin dances and could be vulnerable. I dont think Lisa is the 'allrounder' that the judges claim. The only fast latin she has done was the Salsa in week one and it wasnt great but it was week one, I think this week could show if she 'has it' or not. Obviously if John is in the dance off then he will go but any other combination is really too difficult to call, unless your name is Austin or Tom and then I think you would be safe no matter what.

But what if it's Austin v. Tom?

(Practically impossible, I know )

I think it's hard to tell with Lisa - she's not really done any fast latin since week 1 when it was rated as technically ok/good but lacking fire. She's a lot more confident now so might do a lot better but the samba is a technically difficult dance much more so than the salsa. It's difficult to tell how much people like her too as she's never really been out of the top three since week one so she's always been quite safe from the public - opinion on her on message boards seems very divided.

Rachel's appearence in the dance off would seem to suggest people like Jodie and Christine enough to vote for them so I think they're safe (I also think Christine will find the waltz easy). I'm not sure about Jodie's qs - it's ballroom but it's very fast. Rachel I think will be good at the rhumba - I think she can do sweet and romantic if not sultry a lot better than firecracker and she's not in Louisa's shadow with that one. However it remains to be seen if last Saturday's shock will rally her supporters to the phones or if people don't care enough about her to save her however well she does.

John will deliver the weakest performance (probably) but it depends on if the public safe him or not as to if he goes or not - if he ends up in the dance-off then he's doomed.

I think Cherie might be going home on Saturday although the cha cha cha requires good footwork and arm work so her poise might save her just enough - she's got a better shot than a dance like the jive.

I think we can assume Austin's back in the ballroom ergo he's probably safe.

I'm not sure of their popularity with the GBP, but from past performances unless they really screw up I think Tom and Austin will be high enough up the judges table to be safe.

Jodie has a ballroom and I think she and Ian are pretty popular with the GBP, so I think she'll be safe this week too.

I think everyone else are complete wildcards!

Rachel will be interesting this week as she was in the bottom 2 last week, but it’s hard to tell if it’s because she’s unpopular or because people thought she might be safe with her score (same happened with Alesha last year). What happens this week might give us a better insight.

I think John and possibly Rachel and Lisa are in danger this week.

they should make the dance off:

The lowest judges score celeb V
the lowest voters score celeb

(obviously the lowest judges score celeb line is not open to vote).

They say its 50/50 but actually its more 49/51 to the voters as a tie the voters vvote makes the difference.

John should go but I think it will be one from Tom, Rachel, Cherie, Jodie, Christine

That maybe your wish but unlikely though. She's in top or near top for weeks. You may not like her but her dancing is one of the best to watch, thanks to Brendan's excellent cheography.

Yes but this is her first fast latin since week 1 and the Samba is notoriously difficult, and she wont be able to cling on to Brendan for dear life.

This week I think that all the men are safe unless Tom has a howler but even then I think he'll have enough votes to be safe, John will be safe because Kristine will choreograph a charming ballroom, so that's Austin, Tom and John safe.

I think Rachel will be safe after her fans' scare last week, they'll be voting in large numbers regardless of how well she dances.

I think Jodie will be ok as she has a ballroom and people will vote for her as the judges will undermark her again!

I really think the bottom 2 could be the best 2 dances out of Lisa, Cherie and Christine. If Christine does a relatively poor dance, her fans will panic-vote like Austin's did last week.

The only way I can see Lisa not being in the dance off is if she's 1st or 2nd, not likely with a samba and both Cherie and Lisa have a tendency to be overmarked by the judges, especially on their latins and this annoys the floating voter who'll then probably vote for Jodie or Christine who tend to be undermarked.

So after all that rambling, I'm going to go for a Lisa v Cherie dance off.

It actually explains all of the final two. Obviously it depends who can translate their popularity into phone votes and Jodie may be more successful than Rachel at that. The Judges obviously need to keep Lisa at or near the top otherwise she's toast.

Was Alesha ever in the bottom two, I thought she always went through straight away?
