Thats a good point vidalia, I think I have been disappointed every year when I have seen the line up but have always really enjoyed every series, there must be something about watching people out of their comfort zone that amuses me!

Since when did "being someone's girlfriend" qualify you as a celebrity?

Since before the term WAG was even formed.

And where is the male totty?

Some ugly bloke from Eastenders and an old has-been from Blue (Highly over rated when they were actually young)

Nothing there to set the video capture for.

You've got Ant & Dec.

I think Martina and Esther will clash horribly. I like both as fiesty women but I just cannot see them getting on with each other. Robert Kilroy Silk is a suprise. I would have thought he would have been keen to go away into oblivion after his so called racist comments were published. Maybe being famous is an addiction like any other. I just hope that there is some live streaming this year. I used to enjoy Joe Pasquale's jokey but kind personality and the scraps Brian Harvey had with Janet Street Porter. Much more interesting than watching people eating creepy crawlies.

I actually think Brian Paddick is rather good-looking. As is Simon Webbe I'd have said.

Very gay heavy line-up this year, including the two biggest stars.

who are these people? - your name's not nikki is it by any chance?

there's no point in filling this show with nothing but big names, they have to have some surprises, some people who will carry the game.

remember kids, big names do not automatically make great junglists.

I'm only unaware of 2 of them - the WAG and page 3 model. As stated above, most Londoners would know who Brian Paddock is as he stood for Mayor in the last elections and was featured heavily in the press at that time.

I'm sure they could have found better people for the 'female eye candy' roles but perhaps these two will surprise and be entertaining. I'm sure they'll end up hating the challenges.

Martina is a big shock, surely the biggest name they've had in the jungle?

Same here.

I think it's a great line-up this year

I hadn't heard of Janice Dickinson and she turned out to be well worth watching.

I suspect this time next year Jonathan Ross will be jungle bound.

Apart from the page 3 girl I had heard of everyone.

In fact in terms of fame, I think this may be one of the top 3 or 4 they have had.

The only two I haven't heard of are the two WAGs. It's much much much better line-up than last year's, which basically had no one to get excited about (Janice ended up being good but I'd never heard of her before.)

George, Martina and Kilroy are all great signings.

I've heard that they send invitations to hundreds of celebs from A listers to Z listers. I suspect that those nearer the top of the list wouldn't touch it with a barge-pole as it could make or break a career! that's why we end up with people we hardly know. As has been said, we always end up being entertained, so does it matter that much?

Anyone has to be better than the deeply tedious and annoying Vic "Jim" Reeves and his foghorn wife. I use them as the low-tide mark to compare guests against.

I'll second that one - how disappointing was he?

People have to weigh up the possiblity of re/launching their career and maybe of becoming a national treasure (like say Kerry Katona, Joe Pasquale or Christopher Biggins ) with the possibility of eating live bugs and kangaroo testicles.

dont know, only heard of 3 of them

Most of them are pretty obscure - hence their reason for being there I suppose.

Not sure who I'll back - maybe Esther as she's the only one I know anything about (and I have a thing for funny-shaped vegetables)

I'm familiar with 5 of them (Takei, Navratilova, Kilroy, Rantzen and Behr) and look forward to watching them. I've heard of Simon Webbe but haven't never really paid him any attention. But who on earth are the other 4?! How are they famous?

So you've not heard of Nell Gwin then, I think she predates 2004 slightly.

We say this every year! By the end of the series, though, we'll know them very well indeed.

Agree completely there, those 3 are great but the rest, jeezo they've only had a year to get the big names in!
