From Bad to Worse This Year...
At the start of the Live shows, we had a brilliant Final 12; full of good singers; some with alot of potential.
Now as the weeks have progressed, we've seen people in the bottom 2 who shouldn't have been. barmy judges decisions and the exit of two of the strongest singers in the competition (even if Ruth had gone last week; it would still have been really stupid; especially considering who is left in the competition). Now If Diana doesn't come back and is kicked off the show, we are left with 6 acts; 2 of which have weak voices who are lucky to still be in the competition (Eoghan and Daniel), A walking nervous breakdown waiting to happen (Rachel), Ruth who tries really hard but doesn't seem to have the public on side and Alexandra and JLS (Who I do like) Now what started as such a promising Final 12 has completely gone to pot; this is turning from one of the best series to one of the worst week by week. Anyone else agree? |

I don't think the final 12 was actually that good.
Desire should of got through instead of Bad lashes. Mali instead of Scott. Suzie instead of Daniel. |

I preferred Bad Lashes to Girlband. Can't remember what Desire were like *must look on YouTube* Suzie definitely should have gone through to the final 12. I was seriously shocked when Daniel was put through, thought Dannii had taken a leave of her senses.
But yeah, other than that it did seem to be a pretty good final 10 or whatever at least. But it hasn't lived up to my expectations alas. Last edited by angelic_misha : 11-11-2008 at 21:35. Reason: afterthought |

Rachel has had 4 out of 5 weak weeks and she is STILL there! Laura had one average week and is gone. It doesn't make sense.
Who is voting for Rachel?! And I didn't buy her "I'm doing this for my kids..". Well, you didn't care about your kids when you were doing drugs and in prison. I am not keen on Alex either - "I share a single bed with my sister" - what a load of rubbish. It's a council flat - the council would not allow that. |

Suzie should have gone through for sure. Dannii's excuse for not putting her through was that she didn't think she had the X Factor- OH YEAH BECAUSE DANIEL OBVIOUSLY HAS??????

This is what disgusts me. Laura was given 0 chances to redeem herself.

And her performance of Endless Love was not even that bad. At least it was in tune!

If you look back to his exit, basically their reason was that Rachel hadn't been very good yet, and Austin had been consistent except for his last week. Laura and Austin should still be there, Daniel and Rachel should have gone the last two weeks. |

I wasn't an Austin fan but I definitely think he should not have gone.
Rachel has got away with it - her attitude is disgusting too. |

Top post that. I think the reason for it is simply the focus being more on the stories and less on the talent. The whole object of the exercise was to search for genuine talent which has slipped through the net. This year should have restored faith in that basic premise, but Cowell has lost the plot.

Unfortunately I have to agree, before Live Show 1 I was impressed by; Girlband, Austin, Laura, Diana, Alex, Ruth, Rachel and JLS and thought we were on for a great 10 weeks. But now, it just seems poor although the themes are not helping.
