Was Louis banned from going to deadlock?
Given the option, I think Louis would go to Deadlock every week if he had too. However, with Scott and Laura, I got impression his hands were tied.

I hope so. Deadlock is such a cop out. Its the bad thing about having an even number of judges.

When Holly suggested Louis should have went to deadlock a few weeks ago (Daniel-Scott maybe?) Simon said you cant go to Deadlock every week.
They did it twice in a row, first 2 weeks, which was more than the entire previous series. |

The result would've been the same anyway.

He loves having the final vote. The whole build up that he does before revealing his decision. I can't see him ever letting it go to deadlock.
Not that I have a problem with that. I mean there's no point letting the judges vote, if it's going to go to deadlock. |

I think Louis was dropping a big hint when he said a couple of times he had to make the decision, and it isn't fair to blame him for Laura going, it is unfortunate that he is just the last judge to vote. Simon was looking at the audience during Ruth's performance when they stood and applauded, they didn't do that for Laura, also when she finished, he looked at Cherly and said wow, so he would not have taken it to deadlock either.
I think it should be the public vote every week like American Idol, I am sure Austin would still have been in. We just have to accept the show and our favourites not getting the votes, look at A I when that Australian guy went out, that was a real shocker but the Americans don't start blaming people they just accept it. |

People shouldn't blame Louis for Laura going, they should blame Simon as well. Dannii can't really be blamed- she was only protecting Ruth.

People shouldnt really be blaming anyone of them at the end of the day. Because if they had voted more then Laura wouldnt have been there

She was better in the showdown, they were both good but her performance of Knocking On Heaven's Door was the best of the night. However, in the main show I thought that Endless Love was the best performance out of them all.
It shouldn't have been between those two anyway. |

If Louis was banned, I say if, it may have been because Laura would have got through with more votes than Ruth?
That's my opinion. |
