Amazing that 'that' scene was the decider between an educational or primetime slot.

Money, money, money....

Since my better half just had to listen to this rant, I'm going to inflict it on the rest of you all....

It seems Jade had to go and ask Big Brother for the morning after pill. Now aren't there health risks associated with the MAP? You are taking a very high dose of hormones after all and I think it's only handed out under medical supervision.

We know Sodemall want BB contestants shagging like rabbits so why can't they just leave a discreet packet of condoms lying around?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but by 18 you are supposed to be old enough and wise enough to take your own precautions.

Yes but they weren't exactly in a position to nip out to the 24 hour garage.

If BB facilitates the sex by permitting it to take place then they should hold responsibility for making sure contestants have access to proper contraception and not the MAP.

The MAP is now available 'over the counter' (link here). I can only assume that BB have taken steps to assure that their providing this to Jade was in line with current legislation.

Totally agree that in view of STDs, condoms should have been provided. I expect BBs counter-argument will be that they are adults so are responsible for their own actions (so should have brought them in themselves).

It's still not the ideal form of contraception:

http://www.emergencybirthcontrol.org/FAQ_4.htm#FAQ19

I've heard BB contestants in other countries have also had to request the MAP.

Sodemall don't have to flood the house with rubbers - like I said, a few tucked away in a cupboard or something would be fine.

Definitely not. It's often referred to as a last resort.

Despite the fact that the programme was (allegedly) only intended to be transmitted during the educational slot, the provision of condoms (whether discreet or not) would be perceived by the majority as sending out a 'particular' message, a message that C4 do not not want to condone (pun intended )

I'm with you Piranhaville

It's all done and dusted now but it might be an idea for the producers to take on board for BB5

Definitely. There's a handy hint or two to be taken from this.

Edna, I agree with you, but don't you think they should supply a couple under everyones pillows or mattresses so that they have it within easy reach and don't have to spoil the moment by rushing up to the cupboard?!

How do we know they did it?
Because they said so?

Ah, but the few moments it takes to run to the cupboard could give you time to think twice about doing something you're really going to regret

Time to think about the FAME and MONEY and TV slots and more MONEY.

Not enough time to think about the ridicule from the outside world though !

They would have been rich if they had been in the main BB show.
