Sony KDL40V3000 - 40'' Widescreen Bravia 1080P Full HD LCD TV
Not sure whether i should post this on the freesat forum or on here. So apologies in advance if im in the wrong section...
I purchased the above tv back in April and have recently bought a Humax freesat box. However i am not entirely pleased with the picture quality when watching freesat. The picture almost seems blurred or zoomed in. However when i access the teletext and the screen is formed into two (right side teletext left side television programme) the quality of the picture is far greater, extra sharp, almost HD quality. Is this a freesat issue or r my settings for my tv wrong? Thanks in advance

If you're watching SD, then try doing so via RGB SCART, the Humax has (or at least had) a reputation for poor SD over HDMI. You might instead try setting the Humax to Auto, or whatever Humax call it, so your TV does the upscaling rather than the box.

Tried the auto setting last nite on my humax box but still had the same picture issue. Does anybody know which are the best picture settings for the Sony KDL40V3000 so that i can maximize the quality of the picture? Thanks in advance.

Try it via RGB SCART instead of HDMI, see how that is. |

The scart sockets marked 1 & 2 are the RGB enabled sockets,on the Sony KDL40V3000.
Make sure you connect to either one of these sockets. Also make sure that you connect the scart cable from the Humax Foxsat, marked TV Scart,as this is the RGB enabled one. |
