  • I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!
Dim or just thick?

Nicola McLean, ex-Page 3 has apparently taken just £7,500 for the shop when the rest are on 20K plus! She must struggle with numbers as she is 24 on DS news, 25 on P3 and reckons to have been getting her kit off since mid-2000 according to the P3 site. By my reckoning, that means she was 16 when she started on P3, which makes them a bunch of pervs too.

I've never heard of her so can't say as to why she would accept the offer if others are on higher pays.

I always thought the celebs were paid according to how famous they were at the time. ITV pulling in big names will increase the viewing figures and revenue raised from voting lines. Understandable that Martina Navratilova would be the highest paid, followed by Esther, George and Brian, then Kilroy, Joe and Simon would be middle earners.

If they were paying them by how famous they are - they wouldn't be able to afford Martina.

Stands to reason they would offer MN more than the others, she needed to be enticed by more than the physical and mental challenge of the show. Doesn't she do a lot of work for charity now, she knows her name can bring in the pounds. Her name on the line up will increase the viewing figures, I'll be tuning in to watch because of Martina being a contestant.

Every "celeb" has a published appearance fee - all worked out by the management company they appoint.

I suspect Nicola has only been offered/paid what her published daily rate is x however many days she could potentially be in for. If she didn't like the offer then she shouldn't have accepted.

She spends most of her time doing things for charity. Like yourself I too will be tuning in to see Martina. I couldn't have said that with certanty before I saw her name in the line up.
