I got this from Argos about 6 months ago and was a display one so i got it cheaper than catalogue price..£369 compared to £499. Up until a few months ago it was still available for sale on their website but theres no trace of it now, or on LGs official site.

When i bought it instore it had all the stickers and stuff on it, and it boasted the fact that it was 1080p. That was the main reason i got it as i thought 1080p was only on much more expensive televisions. When i did some research i found that some sites list it as only 1080i and some as 1080p but when i tracked down the exact same television on the LG website and it said 1080p and Full HD several times it put my mind at rest.

Now im at that time where i know a little bit more about LCD tvs and my playstation 3 when i got it said it would display at the highest possible resolution....it came up with 1080p (woo!) im enjoying movies and games in ways i never have before..... but ive realised a bigger TV and maybe one with a better contrast ratio might make me enjoy things a whole lot more.

Now i dont exactly plan on going out and getting a new tv tomorrow, but hopefully very soon. I was just hoping some of you might give me details on how to improve on what ive got. What about this? Is there anything like this thats slightly cheaper?

which looks like a much better improvement. And yes i know its Argos, and LG, and LCD and you can probably see a pattern emerging. Im just using it as an example. And also, what are your opinions on LG televisions? I personally think their ok but i know some of you dont like them. What about Amazon? Do you know of any good televisions out just now which might be coming down in price soon, or if there will be any good deals out nearer Christmas? Im just wanting peoples opinions.
