OK, this isnt about an actual phone but about a company which sells them and offers free gifts if you take out a contract.

I took out an 18 month contract with Orange through ebuyer mobile and chose a Wii + 2 games as my free gift. Sent off all the relevant paperwork on 29th September, have made 3 payments so far to Orange and still haven't received my Wii. Am now at screaming point with them as I keep getting fobbed off every time I phone to ask when I am going to get it.

Has anyone else ever used this company and claimed a free gift and if so, how long did you have to wait for it? Has anyone ever heard anything about this service - positive or negative? I'm beginning to think it's all a con and there is no Wii coming to me.

Ebuyer Customer Service has always had a bit of a reputation - they had a philosophy a bit like Ryanair - "you shouldn't expect Rolls Royce customer service if you are paying Daewoo prices". I remember trying constantly for hour after hour just trying to get them to answer the phone.

Having said that, I still think they'd be a safer choice than the likes of 3 Mobile - but don't have any direct experience of the mobile side of their business.

I know 2 people who ordered a contract and both got the free 32 inch LCD TV

I will check with them Tomorrow and see how long it took to get the freebie

As far as I can make out calls relating to affordablemobiles a/cs and ebuyer mobile are all taken at the same place. One time when I phoned they couldn't find me at all on the system because they were looking at affordablemobiles whereas all the other times they've looked me up on ebuyermobile. The number I phone says ebuyermobile on the message that cuts in every few seconds while I'm on hold so its all a bit confusing.

Most of the time when I phone they put me on hold for an interminably long time, then say they need to speak to Head Office and will call me back - which they've only done once and that was to assure me that I would be in receipt of the Wii within a week - this was 2 weeks ago!

I'm just getting so hacked off with them as I sent all the relevent paperwork back to them on 29th September and the Wii is for my daughter's birthday next Wednesday. WHen I told them this yesterday they said I could always give her a game for the Wii and tell her the console is late. Good customer services?

never dealt with the mobile side of ebuyer - the component side is great however, but thats beside the point.

Check any paperwork you received with your contract to see if there are any clauses which says they can take x amount of months to supply you with the gift.

Other than that, contact consumer direct/trading standards regarding the issue as they seem to be dragging their feet providing you with what they advertised.

It could be, however, that they are having difficulties in obtaining supplies of the wii, considering it is the time of the year when they seem to be in high demand. I'm not saying this as an excuse as I see you have been waiting 3 months + for them to deliver.

Ebuyermobile is using an affiliation program from E2save which are part of the Carphone Warehouse.

My first mobile offer was through ebuyer mobile in response to an email they had sent. I got a free PSP. It took 3 - 4 months to get it and many angry phone calls. It did however turn up and with a game which I had not expected as it was not part of the deal.

I then ordered a phone for my wife with a free Xox 360. I did this directly through e2save this time. Again it did take around three months but no stress as I new this would be the case. I made a couple of friendly calls and it arrived before Christmas.

I would visit the e2save website and call their number.

I would go through them again without a doubt.

I know that it's a bit too late for you, but my advice would be to steer clear of any site that promises to send your gift later on. I'm sure you'll get it eventually, but why wait?

I signed up for a contract with a free Wii from mobiles.co.uk (also part of CPW group) and both phone and Wii were delivered next day.

So did you ever get it? I'm going through the same pain at the moment, just fobbed off everytime I phone with 'we had technical difficulties a while back' - I've been waiting well over a month, maybe two now since sending all my forms back!

I did the same deal ages ago with mobiles.co.uk before they got bought out and got a 360 with it - that went fine no problems whatsoever. Getting really annoyed with ebuyer now particularly with the lack of contact AND the fact that all the emails I've tried bounce straight back! How lame is that!
