Does the PS3 play region 1 dvds?
Hi,
I've got a PS3 (about 3 months ago) and have just received a region 1 dvd (although I ordered region 2, but never mind). Does anyone know if the PS3 will play it? Don't think it's Blu-Ray. Thanks! |

Sorry, NO. I had loads of R1 DVD's, and they didn't play. Though it is worth trying as some R1 DVD's say they're R1, but on the odd occasion they're actually region free, just give it a try,. But as a rule, no the amazing PS3 will not play 'em.

If its a Warner disc it may be coded for R2 aswell.
Many back catalogue titles ,and tv and animation titles are coded for more than just R1 . If its a modern blockbuster then you are out of luck with the PS3. What is the film? |
