Eek, my telly's not responding to the remote

The batteries are obviously OK as it still does the backlighting keys thingy. I did change them anyway, made no difference.

I tried the reset button - didn't help.

My first thought was that one of the buttons for controlling other devices had been pushed by accident, but it's not that.

Does anyone have any ideas? I really don't want to be calling out an engineer if it's something really stupid...

Do you have Sky, does that remote still work the TV - that might rule out something being wrong with the TV.
