iPod and serious system error
Whenever I connect my iPod classic (120GB) to my PC now, the PC immediately shuts down. After I start it back up, I get an error saying serious system error.
Anyone else had this? How do I stop it happening? Its only started in the last couple of days, but its everytime I try to connect my ipod to my machine. |

Sounds like a problem with the USB controller.
When you get the prompt saying the system has recovered from a serious error you should also have an option to send an error report to Microsoft. If you do this, it may well take you to a web page on the MS Technical Support website giving details about the error (equally it may not, but it's worth a try!). ![]() Post the results back, but in the Computing and Networks forum (it's where I usually hang out, I'm venturing to pastures new because I've just bought an iPod Touch!) and we have a plethora of experts who'll be happy to offer advice. Some of it may even be useful.
