Songs for leaving & thanking...
...does anyone know any good songs that basically say you're leaving, but wanting to thank and not forget the people you're leaving behind. Kind of moving on to better things?

The lyrics don't really say it in so many words, but Elton John's Your Song is simply perfect for these sort of occasions.

That sort of depends on whether you're leaving your wife or your job.
How about 'London' - The Smiths?

maybe "in my life" by the beatles?
There are places I'll remember all my life Though some have changed Some forever not for better Some have gone and some remain All these places had their moments With lovers and friends I still can recall Some are dead and some are living In my life I've loved them all But of all these friends and lovers There is no one compares with you And these mem'ries lose their meaning When I think of love as something new Though I know I'll never lose affection For people and things that went before I know I'll often stop and think about them In my life I'll love you more Though I know I'll never lose affection For people and things that went before I know I'll often stop and think about them In my life I'll love you more In my life I'll love you more i can't remember any others possibly suitable right now.... |
