Why roll your eyes? Ruth and Alexandra have both been ill this series, but have pulled performances out of the bag. People can say Diana was bad you know, it's not blasphemy

I just thought it was embarassing for everyone. I was half expecting her to finish her song to complete silence in the studio, and then run off.

You know that noise Chewbacca makes when he's right angry...?

Plus, I know dogs hear in registers we don't and my dog seemed deeply shaken by the howling sounds coming from the telly, this evening.

That's not really a valid point, because to be fair, neither Ruth or Alexandra were advised against singing by a doctor, incase of long term damage. The flu will not affect their performances as much as laryngitis.

Did Ruth and Alexandra have laryngitis? You know, all the X Factor contestants are friends, they all supported Diana when she was ill and didn't hold it against her, they showed genuine happiness when she got through and cheered for her. Therefore why do people on here have to be so nasty and bitter towards her? She didn't ask to get laryngitis, and it's in the contract that they can miss one week. If your favourite had of had laryngitis, you'd have supported them, you wouldn't have came on here slagging them off at every opportunity you got, it's pathetic, and it's childish, and I hope that you're a kid and not a grown man/woman sitting on a forum acting so pathetic it's laughable.

Also, this thread was created to go with the other 101 tonight slagging Diana off. Why not ask what we thought of EVERYBODY'S performance, why single Diana out? Rachel was poor, I don't like her voice, you don't like Diana's. You don't see me banging on about it at any opportunity I get. Diana is recovering from laryngitis, it's obvious that she's not going to be at her best, it was a good performance, her voice was good and I enjoyed it. So why don't you (and every other idiot on this forum who can't offer constructive criticism) get a grip, get over it and move on? Is it so difficult?

Cilla has charm, and usually a lorra lorra laughs.

Donald on the other hand, quite possibly a sexual deviant.

It was quite heart warming wasn't it. A brilliant voice but a grand performance too.

Nice to hear Coldplay sung so well on the show.

Dolores O'Riordan with a bad head cold. That's what she sounded like to me. Fair play to her for giving it a go though with so little time to rehearse.

i thought she sounded awful, but i'm just glad Daniel is out.

I'd just like to know why every single contestant seems to have a sob story to tell us

In some Cronenbergian nightmare perhaps...

Like if they all got in the pod alongside a pair of clogs, ripped jeans, a lava lamp and a penny whistle...

OOOOOOOH what cliche comes out intact?

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Unique.

Well I'm not going to slag her off. I think for her age she is indeed a unique and quirky young artist trying her best to showcase her potential.

I don't even think that she is out of her league, because I believe that she has a unique league of her own in this competition.

So good luck to her in that respect.

However....I do wonder where she got the idea of using her voice the way she does. Linkin Park...albeit a male singer is probably just one example of where I hear this type of shouty vocals. This guy still hasn't lost his voice...but can also change it in an instant....

I wonder if Diana has been inspired by artists such as this.
