My contracts up soon I need a new phone help ???

Im currently with 3 and my contract is up.

I think I will move networks as I dont get signal in the local pubs on 3 etc.

I currently have a Motorola VX3.

I want the following on my phone :-

Good Camera
Internet access (currently use opera mini)
Not overly big

I also want about 600 minutes and 700 texts etc, would prefer a 12 month contract but 18 wouldnt be a huge issue with the right deal.

I was thinking Nokia N96 or iphone (crap camera)

Any ideas on phone / package please ?

how much do you want to spend a month and would you rather spend money upfront on phone to reduce monthly bill

currently pay around 60 / 70 a month on average

Would rather the fone was free ideally, and maybe a free gift too would be nice

i think that those making recommendations should disclose if they have a personal interest in their suggestions ie they work for the operator they recommend.

I wouldn't go for any nokia's as i think they are all battery drainers especially the N-Series ones

I've just got a Sony Erricson C905 and its an awesome phone not to big and as a 8.1 megpixel camera i personally wouldn't go for a contract i think you can get some great deals on payg i am on 02 and i pay £30 a month and for that i get 10,000 free texts and i can use the £30 for calls

Maybe get the N95 8GB instead of the N96? Certainly should be a lot cheaper.

why, what difference does it make if they do or not?

if they do then they will know what they are talking about better than anyone else ... the thread was started to ask for requests, and thats what people have given.

fairly obviously because their information is not independent.

i think i've made it fairly obvious on numerous threads that i work for Vodafone.

and besides that point i still think they are are best network to be on, i've had orange/o2 and t-mobile in my time working at vodafone, but i generally always come back to vodafone.

which is something to consider bearing in mind CS for staff is just about non-existent.

i know you do, but others who haven't read the other threads might not. this is not to say that i'm saying that your advice is weighted in favour of vodaphone unreasonably; i'm sure you're giving very good impartial advice. but as a matter of principle i think we should say who we work for if we are recommending our employers.

I think im going to go for either

Blackkberry storm
Nokia N96
Sony 905c

Going to go with Vodafone as it seems the best singal round here, going to go up the shops and try these 3 out and have a play, any advice on where to buy and can i barter ?

Saying it is good for clarity's sake but there is no real conflict of interest here as no one here can profit from the recommendations really.
