hi

I have a panasonic viera with built in freeview. I have never used it before as I've always had v plus and ran digital but have just moved house and await virgin reconnecting me. I do not have an aerial port in my room. I can't get the freeview to work. It lists all the channels so I know it's there but it just says no signal. I've plugged an aerial from an old portable tv in but still no luck. Any ideas? Thanks

first of all are you in an area that can receive freeview?secondly you may need a proper aerial, just cos it lists the channels doesn't mean its receiving them i think.does it list whats on as well for all channels in the epg?or is it just a channel list?

Hi. No, it doesn't list what's on, just the channels and says that there are no events avaliable. Yes my area can receive freeview though

Even if you are in a Freeview area, it's likely you require a proper outside aerial.

Just a thought but I take it you've rescanned for channels since you've moved? It sounds like you've left it as it was at your old house.

Get a decent Aerial and you'll be OK. No Aerial no channels

yeah - you need to do a rescan because you might be on a different transmitter now. but even then the signal might not be goodenough on a set top aerial.

whats the signal on analogue like?
