Alesha Dixon will be on Radio 2 at some point before 5pm this afternoon.

I expect they'll ask her about John...

Last time she said she votes for John.

I wonder if she'd feel that way if she had been knocked out by Kenny Logan last year.

kenny logan was one of her best mates in the competiton i think. I remember her saying him and letitia were her cloest friends.

It's fine her saying vote for John. But if was her dancing and got knocked out by John, how would she have felt?

She would have technically been knocked out by the other person in the dance off. The person who leaves the show is never the best dancer of the evening because the judges would save them.

She would have been sorry to not be dancing but she wouldn't have held it against anyone. To imply she would is to misunderstand her. She knew the score.

she didnt tell people to vote for john she said she has voted for him in the past and she finds him entertaining.
She also said she wants lisa to win and although she appreciates john at the moment she does hope and think the final 3 will j ust be the best dancers.

Alesha WAS unceremoniously pushed into the dance-off, not by Kenny Logan voters but by others who exercised their freedom of choice by voting to rescue Matt D after his 2 meltdown dances.

Are any of these Matt D voters now screaming out against the freedom of choice applied to John?

Lifted straight out of the lazy journalists' thread How did "I voted for John" (note the use of past tense) become "Vote for John"?

Alesha is hardly ever at home on a saturday night as she's so busy promoting her single, so I doubt if she regularly votes on Strictly or TXF. She has them both on sky+ series link and I'm sure she doesn't care enough to vote before seeing the dances, as people on various threads have admitted to doing.

Thanks for the info, Loulabelle44; will catch it on "listen again"

I haven't voted for John since the competition got serious and never would, but I voted for John in the first couple of weeks and have no regrets about that. This could well be when Alesha voted for him as well.

Anyone against freedom of choice,

can enjoy the freedom to say so.

I am disappointed with Alesha for voting John, but because she can't, but she didn't say she voted for Matthew, who HELPED her to win the title last year.

Where's the loyalty?

SCD-O: Alesha has mentioned in several interviews that she is voting for Matthew - she said in one interview that for every one vote she gives to someone else she votes twice for Matthew.

Did she?

All I read was that she wanted Lisa to be in the final/win?

If she voted for Matthew, then my impression of her is still up there! Otherwise...

Oh good! I love Alesha again now.

Not that I particularly like Christine or Matthew, but I thought she looks like a loyal friend. So she is! I stand corrected!

The difference between matt ds melt down and john
is that matt was improving, he lost he's way a couple of times. but john has been had never found his.

That's a tad unfair!! I've heard Alesha say on interviews that she votes for john as well as christine and matthew.

I voted for Matt because though he had a blip he was a good dancer, something that's not true of John. But people have every right to vote for who they vote for.

The outrage on this site is quite amusing though.

Alesha has as much right to vote for who she wants as everyone else.

I believe it becomes a very tenable position when you extend the same freedom and courtesy to others.

AND a nice sense of humour to go with your articulate reasonableness. For Lucy: 9 out of 10 !
