Sound on LG LCD Tv is crap
The sound on my TV is crap. To hear vocals I have to turn up the sound and then any music etc is way too loud. I would buy a home cinema kit but again don't want it to be too lous and I already have loads of DVD players in the house. Any ideas please?

They expect people to buy surround sound systems so they skimp on LCD speakers.
Should sound a lot better if you do.

My LG 22" TV/monitor has appalling sound also (luckily I knew this in advance so wasn't too shocked!)
I;d say my £5 cheap/nasty mono clock radio far exceeds the audio quality compared to the LG! |

If the TV has stereo audio outputs you could connect up a stereo amp and a pair of speakers. That would be a big jump up in quality. In fact, for similar money you could get a budget AV amp and a set of small surround speakers + sub. That would get you prologic from the TV and decent 5.1 digital from your DVDs.

Yes that's the best solution really... to be honest connecting my LG to a pair of 100mw speakers would probably improve sound
