Hello all, i would like to do a HD format/ or a factory reset not sure which is best to do on my thomson DTI6300 how do i do this, as every time i try to record anything by pressing record button i keep getting a recording failed message, also the same if i go into programme guide and try to record from there, also today i lost all my recordings from the library with 129 hours free space still left, also tried unplugging the box many times and still same problem, hope this is the right board to post on as i looked all over first and were'nt sure any advice please as i have been into

When i press standby repeatedly then up down left right my thomson dti6300 will not come out of standby, if i just remove power then repower it boots ok, but i still cannot make any recordings, anybody got any advice or new hard drives to reccomend

You can restore the settings to factory defaults, format the hard drive and carry out a software revert from the Help menu. But be warned, that anything you do from this menu will delete any recordings that you already have.

Simply press MENU then choose SETUP then choose HELP, then press the GREEN button. This should give you 3 options: Press RED for Factory Defaults, Press YELLOW for Software Revert or Press BLUE for Format HDD.

You will receive a message asking you to confirm your choice. Choose the CONTINUE option and your DTR should now reset itself.

Hi, i can't ever remember seeing RED-YELLOW -BLUE on this HD in menu setup, i'm sure it was on previous hd, maybe i'm wrong, but now when i go to MENU-HELP-DISC its now saying disc not present, it was working ok on monday, i've swapped the jumper settings around to see if that makes any difference, but cannot get hd to work, if i press standby button repeatedly then up down left right, the box will not come out of standby, if i just power up as normal the box boots up, stilll saying disc not present, any more advice please thanks
