Ipod Touch 1G or 2G That is the question

Hi All,

I have done a load of reading up on both of these great devices & am unsure which to get.

On Ebay, I can get a 1g 16gb for £160 inc courier & 12 months warranty. Or a 2g 16gb for £200 inc courier & 12 months warranty.

On Cex I can get a 2g 16gb grade c with 12 months warranty for £170

Any advice ?

Thanks to all that reply

a grade c from cex will not be in good condition. i think the speaker in the 2G is a real bonus for playing games. if you don't think that's enticing save the £40 and get the 1G.

Thanks for the heads up on that I will have a good think as knowing my luck I will get the 1g and next week apple announces that no further applications will run on it or that 2g will be getting bluetooth

After do some serious debating I have decided to save a bit more cash & get a 16gb 2g from my local retailer. I know it costs an extra £20 but I will have a bit more peace of mind, as the ebay shop I was going to purchase it from has had 117 negative in the last month

I bought a zen at the start of the year from an ebay shop & it recently died & since then the shop have been reluctant to replace it, even thou it is still in warranty.

Given the extra features of the 2g & according to friends who have owned both models the 2g is more responsive on the newer firmware than the 1g that has been updated as the 2g apparently has a faster processor & crispier sound.

So I will give it another couple of weeks & get 1 from whatever store has it in stock & then at least I know that if anything happens to it within the year, it is only a walk around the corner to give some major bitch slapping DJM style to the store that sold it to me .

I know I am really eager to get this device, but good things come to those who wait, or some bollox like that .

that sounds like a very wise decision as 117 is not at all good.

good luck!

Hi All,

I finally caved in & bought a 16gb ipod touch today . It is only the 1g version but got it in game station for £159 with 12 months warranty & 2.1 firmware already on .

Needless to say, I am f**king impressed with it
