Ours does this if eats food or drinks water too quick and also does it when gets too excited if people come to the door and has just eaten or drunk. they are very excitable dogs and I have had to clean up sick now and again.

My Staffs throw up a fair amount too. They are 4 and 3. I think they can be a little competitive and greedy with food and bolt it too quickly. They are also terrible for begging for titbits.

I'd keep checking the sick for any signs of blood etc in case of a possible blockage etc but a vet would have felt for that anyway.

Another thing mine do is eat their toys. There isn't a toy made that they can't destroy in a couple of minutes with the exception of a large black Kong which takes a few hours. They spit most of this out but swallow bits which sometimes causes them to throw up.

I think dogs are a lot more simplistic than us, if they don't like the taste or they're too full, they won't put up with it, they just throw it back up.
