Of course there's not.

But if you chose to make that opinion public you should be prepared for the fact that some people will think that opinion is pretty daft, and will exercise their right to say so.

I do think this is a daft opinion, I have seen little to suggest that Cherie has a crush on James, and that is why I would be interested to hear if you have anything more substantial than "I think" to add, in order to firm up your point.

John's dancing was competent on Saturday night. But what he did better than any of the other celebrities was engage the public in his performances.

Dancing is like music. A singer can hit all the right notes, but unless there is soul in their voice, they aren't going to move people with their performances. Like it or not, Cherie did not compel viewers to vote for her - that's not John's fault, it's hers. There was something lacking in her performance which excellent technique and exquisite lines could not make up for.

I'm happy to accept you think it's a daft opinion but I don't think it is.

I am sure Cherie is hacked off at being knocked out,she is not as good as she thought she was IMO.
BUT her departure was only a week or so premature, there can only be one winner after all and there are better all-rounders in the comp than her..

I am not saying Cherie should have won the dance off, but I can see why she would be angry. I personally enjoyed watching her dance. I don't really like Lisa but she was better technically.

So the thread title is 100% incorrect as a statement of fact then, and is only your opinion?

Yes, that's clear. I'm just asking if you're able to add more ballast to your point?

Or maybe you could edit the thread title to reflect that it is merely opinion, rather than absolute fact?

I also get annoyed when judges have favourites who they fawn over and develop convenient blind spots to faults or shortcomings in technique and performance. And I had just spent a fortune on my tickets for the tour when I heard she was going to be in it

Does that answer your question?

Not true, they are going on the 2009 tour, so she will be dancing with him for sometime to come.

Also, she could dance with him every day if she wanted simply by booking and paying for lessons like dancers have to do.

Sorry your honour

As a grown woman and having watched her a few times with him, body language, tone of voice and such forth that is what I think and have to say I have not seen it or thought that about any other couple on Strictly. It is just merely an opinion and yes you are right I should have phrased the thread differently. Apologies.

Apologies, but I really didn't get that from your initial post.

Thanks for the explanation regarding your opinon ~ no need to be sarky with it though. I am not actually a high court judge.

I wouldn't blame her if she had a crush on him. I remember some posters at the start of the series saying that they thought James was the one who had a crush on her! Who knows.

I don't think she's very angry. I think she's disappointed and feeling sad, but not angry.

She is angry because the costume on Saturday made her legs cold.

I have seen Cherie and James twice this week and you must live on another planet because there was nothing whatsoever in anything they said or did which would give the impression you claim to have got.

Wishful thinking on your part, maybe? It certainly makes for yet another spite-laden thread aimed at a contestant who has been nothing but gracious and professional throughout.

I could post that the sky is green, then claim it was "just merely an opinion" ...

This is probably closer to the truth than anything else that's been said on this thread !

WOT! WOT! WOT!

How do you come to the above conclusion? Guesswork?

Don't agree at all.

Why did you not "warm" to her?

What made you think she was "cold, superior and sneering" - I never ever saw any sign of this attitude from her. She is a graceful, attractive, fit older woman who doesn't grin all the time - that doesn't mean she is unpleasant - it just means she is sensible and dignified.
