Bring Cherie Back to Stop 3 Person Final

Guys I say this for a number of reasons. Let's be honest John pulled out this week because Cherie went and she was a very good dancer and he got a lot of hassle because of it. I think had it been anyone other than perhaps Jodie who I know has massively improved but IMO is not in the same league yet as the others there would have been this same massive backlash. Also with Cherie she was the first more mature woman we have had on Strictly who could have gone the whole distance so all those things put together made things awful for John. I would imagine as well that Cherie was perhaps the one person John wouldn't have wanted to knock out, as I am only guessing, but he has always stood up for the "more mature" dancer as he calls himself and of course he sent home his opposite number this week.

However, on Monday he did say he would stick by the rules and not drop out and even James and Cherie said they did not want him to drop out and so did Arlene etc. It was made very clear that it would not be the solution.

I think the problem was highlighted when Rachel was in the bottom 2. You could work out from that that John had to be receiving the highest number of viewer votes to stay in.

I think and don't go mad at me on here but IMO Cherie and James could put together a dance for Saturday if they practiced like mad. That way we could have a 3 person final still not like last year's madness and then John could really say hand on heart that he didn't knock anyone really good out of the competition.

I would like to add that I have a massive amount of respect for John for quitting in some respects however, he has denied all those people that spent money on him the pleasure / amusement of seeing him dance again and from that end I believe he will have caused a lot of disappointment.

The whole thing is a doube edged sword and is awful from every angle that you look at it which is why I say, bring a bit of happiness back into it with a surprise reinstallment of Cherie and James.

What does everyone else think?

No!

Cherie was beaten fair and square in the dance off by Lisa.

There is no reason to bring her back.

NO! The public didn't like her and voted accordingly. If they bring back Cherie because John has resigned then I for one will stop watching. Seriously, the show is reeling from what has happened today so to do this would damage it's credibility beyond repair. Cherie wasn't that good a dancer and was overmarked several times on her latin. If she was brought back now, the backlash from the viewers would be tremendous.

Yes, I agree wholeheartedly with that. Bring Cherie back and then it would be a much fairer elimination on Sunday.

Personally, I don't want her or anyone to come back.

What they should do is on Saturday, announce that the phone lines will NOT be opening, and that John will do his dance and leave on Sunday, and that all the dancers left get automatically through to next week.

And to fill the time, get the top/judges favourite to perform their dance again like they do on DWTS.

It would be fab if Cherie came back but (and I say this as a huge fan) I get the feeling people would vote to ensure that she was in the bottom two again in protest of John's withdrawal.

Would not want her to have to go through being eliminated again.

Hopefully they will still have a three person final....John is dancing on Saturday - he will then leave and there will not be a public vote this week. That would be the logical way.

No Cherie proved today in her interview what a bitter nasty old witch she is.

The only person I want to come back is John.

Yes, it would be nice if Cherie got a bye.

Oh for goodness sake!! I think that is unfair to brand her as anything like that. I really cant understand the negativity towards Cherie. She's out of the competition - isn't that enough for people?

Yes, I'm hoping they'll carry this weekend's scores over to the following week, combining the two and then open the phone lines for the public vote. They do this on DWTS on occasion if there is a withdrawal.

No, I liked Cherie and was sad she went but she's already had her chance and her fans didn't manage to save her.

I say no eviction this weekend.

Or perhaps they would vote her into the bottom two for the same reason they did last week (when John was still there) - her performance simply wasn't up to scratch.

Well seeing as John is not dictating the rules of Strictly perhaps someone should ask him what he thinks should happen this week. Do you realise that if there is no viewer vote this week then Children in Need lose out on a lot of money. Perhaps when dropping out John didn't think of that. The BBC, I am sure will make an elimination this week. My suggestion was to put Cherie in, yes perhaps as a buffer, for the others but at least to make sure that Children in Need doesn't lose money, we don't have to watch a 2 person final and John doesn't dictate the show.

there is no money going to CIN this year

I didn't think CIN were getting the money anyway?! So really there wouldn't be such a loss if the BBC just simply didn't open the lines this week, and announce it on Saturday's show that this would be happening.

I really don't want to see a 2 person final again for the 3rd year running.

But her performance IMO was good enough in the main show for her to have not been in the dance off and I'm afraid, as much as I enjoyed John's AS, his wasn't.

Cherie can come back as long as she leaves James behind! Lets have her dancing with Anton!

Dear God, no! Please I was so thrilled Cherie finally went out. In fact everybody I wanted out is now finally gone (Cherie was a particularly sweet and unexpected bonus).
