If they bring Cherie back, they had better refund all the money people spent on voting.

A lot of "superior" dancers have been voted out due to John's popularity, why should Cherie be reinstated ahead of others? The only person who should be voted back in is John.

I disagree. If they were to bring one person back to make it a three person final then all of the evictees should be up for a 'vote in'. It's not too fair in that those who got further in the competition have more skill now however I doubt they would last more than that particular week anyway.

Personally I would like a 3 person final again but SCD could follow Dancing with the Stars example and have a two week combined vote (without announcing on Sunday who would have been bottom two if someone was leaving).

Ooh yes, good idea.... let's bring her back, having not trained AT ALL for her next dance and watch her get voted off again.

She could train in time if she really wanted to. She would have to put all the hours under the sun into it but I believe she is the type of person who could pull it off. As for bringing other people back the only reason I suggested Cherie is because she was the last one out and more than likely the straw that broke the camels back for John thus helping him make his decision. As for people saying they would want their money back if Cherie came back. They do realise they didn't vote Cherie out you vote to keep someone in. I would however suggest that all John fans write to the BBC and ask for their money back if they so wish. Basically the whole thing is a mess and has ruined this year's show. Arlene said on Monday's programme that him pulling out would not work and how right she was. To be honest John has just created an even bigger mess than before however it has been reported he has been offered over £1m in deals since this started and perhaps he was worried about losing them if the bad blood carried on. If I was in his position I would be. All I'm proposing is they ask John whether he would like the proposition put to Cherie as to whether she feels that in 2 days she could train for a dance. If she says yes then great if she says no then its a 2 person final as the Beeb will not give up on money. That bit is guaranteed, plus it takes away from the show if there is no elimination.

Btw SmileyCharlie, didn't you use to have a good friend in BBC during the IDA shows?

Even though I liked Cherie, it should simply be a 'no elimination' week.

As a Cherie fan I disagree with this- all of the others were out before John not just her.

They need to have an eviction free week this week and accumulate the scores so that the dancers have a latin and ballroom score combined to place them in the leaderboard- much fairer on them and on us.

No reason to do it...and no reason at all why Cherie should be singled out.

The 2-couple final is not to my taste - and I wish they would cast an extra celeb to allow for these situations - but it's happened the last two series with no discernible effect on the popularity of the show.

Some people on here have clearly taken leave of their senses. What a ludicrous idea.

I'm afraid Cherie can't be reinstated based on the subjective views of certain fans of hers.

Hiya Sid!

Not all of us have lost our sense of normality- see my post above which I feel is a very fine suggestion.

Also offer a smooch and a hug as you must be feeling a little bit grrrrrrrrrr at todays news (not going into that here though!)

This will make further mockery of the show. Cherie was there in the dance off because of public votes (or the lack thereof), and was clearly outdanced by Lisa. What is there to talk about?

Yes, everyone who voted to eliminate Cherie should get a refund...oh, wait.

They shouldn't bring any eliminated couples back. They should treat John & Kristina as this weekend's eliminated couple, and not lose anyone else til the following weekend. Hold the scoreboard & votes over and add to next week's scores.

No need to bring back an eliminated couple.
No need to end the show a week earlier.
No two-couple final.
No loss of phone votes.

Simple. I wonder if the BBC have the common sense to think of that. Based on the last two years, I guess not.

I'm not saying Cherie should be reinstated. All of the other evictees have as much right as her to be reinstated. As it is, I think that they should have an elimination free week and carry the votes over to next Saturday.

I've got my spy doing the digging for me already. It was the first thing I thought of. Will update if I here anything before the proper announcement at 6pm on It Takes Two

No. Cherie is out and she's staying out. If John chose to go that's his affair.

Exactly how on earth has Cherie been a "nasty old witch" she has been nothing but gracious in defeat. Granted James may have been slightly outspoken (not in my opinion) but Cherie took it very well and her comments about John have been taken vastly out of context. I'm sick to death of all the Cherie bashing, I've never seen such an inoffensive contestant cause such hatred!

From message 8 I got the impression you would like her to be reinstated.

I don't follow the logic that all contestants should be brought back. The point of the show is to vote a couple out each week. Unless there was a miscount, they've all been booted off fair and square, including Cherie.

Of course I'd like her to come back but that isn't the show. Whenever my favourites go out I wish they could come back but that's not how it is - to my disapointment Cherie was voted out I'm not going along with the idea that anyone should be reinstated I just said that if ever that was an issue then it would have been between everyone eliminated.

Either Cherie back or no eviction this week, but i suspect the beeb dare not have no eviction as it could cost them in the viewer ratings........

I think it would be more costly to refund all those people who voted previously if they brought Cherie back.

Why would anyone want to go through the humiliation of being evicted twice?

If you look at the poll on DS she was they were the least popular couple here if this were representative of the viewing public she would be in the dance off again this week.

Just to point out a small error in the title; Due to John leaving it could be a 2 person final again!!

Regardless of John, I don't feel like Cherie had enough public support to get her to the final/semi finals etc. Let's be honest, with her latin not being nearly as good as her ballroom, she would probably have been out this week. If she was brought back she would have ended up in the bottom 2 again and that would have been humiliating for her. She was voted off fairly according to the rules so there's no point bringing her back.
