I doubt this is what she was expecting when she signed up to join the show! I don't think her professional dance partner, Brian, has enjoyed all the criticism, some of them being downright rude coming from the judges but I wonder how she feels

I kept thinking about that, especially when Bruce was talking; 'I feel bad for John' over and over, I was left actually asking the TV "and what about Kristina?!".

Well she reads the appreciation thread on here and usually posts at least once a week, but hasnt this week and I did wonder if there was a problem. I hope she reads them now as there are some lovely messages on there.

I have loved seeing her on this show, and she's done a fantastic job to get this far!

I hope she still maintains all the support she has.

I think (hope) Kristina knows that she is adored by us.

Aye, she deserves a lot of credit for getting John this far. I really hope she comes back next year she's been a real trooper.

She's posted on here on the odd occassion.

I hope that this doesn't deter her from considering coming back next year, it would be a massive shame to lose her when we've all got used to how lovely a person she is.

i was wondering why she hasnt been on this week, i hope shes not finding the furour on the boards a bit stressful.
I always look out for her posts so it would be a shame if she no longer posts.

Kristina is undoubtedly the best new addition. I hope shes with the show for a very long time to come.

I adore Kristina, and although I liked John at the start over the past weeks I started going off him as the better dancers were leaving, having said that I think Kristina has been a wonderful choreographer, and I do hope she is invited back next year

Kristina should be very proud of all she and John achieved on the show. She's a fabulous dancer and a lovely person, and I really hope she is back next year. Kristina, you are a star!

Kristina must have very mixed perceptions about the British.

On the one hand, she and her partner have been touched by the considerable support shown to them.

But on the other hand, she has witnessed her partner and friend ridiculed by four overpaid, over -rated 'experts' and she's had her position in the contest questioned by a rather unsporting and ungracious fellow professional.

Us Brits are renowned for our tolerance and sense of fair play. Kristina, John and their fans were playing by the rules. Why, then, was there a relentless campaign to get them out?

When I heard, my first thought was how gutted I am for Kristina. She's put so much hard work in.

I feel sorry for Kristina, she has done nothing wrong except teach her celeb how to dance to the best of both their abilities and I think it's a big shame her Strictly experience has been cut short.

I hope none of this has affected her view of Strictly and Britain because I would love for her and Brian to return next year and I don't want them thinking they aren't liked or appreciated

I somehow don't think this is how they wanted to remember their debut season.

It's the veiled criticism of her looks by Arlene I find the most upsetting

I'm sure that when kristina first met john she realised that she had been allocated one of the 'less able' dancers and that thought that her time on SC D would be limited! If only she could have foretold what was going to happen.

I do hope she realises that she has come across as being lovely, generous and kind, and that people have being appreciating her efforts as much as Johns. If anything, the surrounding furore has only served to increase her profile. If she does indeed read the threads she will realise that she has been very much welcomed by the SGCD community.

Do hope she returns next year

Thank you

It makes me question British values too. Since when was it OK to hound someone who is harming no one and doing nothing wrong, until they cave into pressures from the powers that be?

This whole affair has left a rather bitter taste in my mouth.

Kristina has competed for years she will be used to the ups and downs that entails - Brian is not her professional partner just her partner for the show, her partner in 'real' life went though similar with cloris on DWTS. I think Kristina will be well pleased with her reception on the show - (despite the judges remarks) she has become popular very quickly and the surrounding publicity will do her no harm

I bet she feels great.

She's taken a barely-known, unfit, unattractive, old guy, and she's made him into a household name, getting further in the competition than anyone would have thought.

She's raised her own profile, she's garnered constant praise, and she's generally done a marvellous job.

Where's the downside?

What was said by the fellow professional?

The rules aren't all that matters. Contestants in tv show are rightly criticised for many things that aren't against the rules. Rule-breaking is actually one of the less common criticisms.

Indeed, it's an odd defence to make -- and John's the one who started using the rules that way -- when they haven't been accused of breaking them. It makes me wonder whether he knew they were doing something questionable that was nonetheless within the rules.
