In All Of This, Spare A Thought For Kristina

I'd have thought Kristina has nothing to worry about - if she and Brian want to come back next year (and both seem to have generally enjoyed it more than DWTS, despite the more knock-about nature of it here)), I'm sure she'd be welcomed back by the BBC - and given a partner with real potential.

The rules aren't all that matters. Contestants in tv show are rightly criticised for many things that aren't against the rules. Rule-breaking is actually one of the less common criticisms.

Indeed, it's an odd defence to make -- and John's the one who started using the rules that way -- when they haven't been accused of breaking them. It makes me wonder whether he knew they were doing something questionable that was nonetheless within the rules.”

I found James' comments unprofessional. By demanding that John be booted off the show, he was insinuating that one of hs colleagues Kristina endure the same fate. He did't spare a thought for her feelings or the time and effort she had contributed to getting the best out of her partner. That's insulting.

I'm afraid I don't follow your argument about the rules. John & Kristina were doing nothing 'questionable' in my eyes. They danced, were scored and then voted for by the public like everyone else.

If the Beeb don't like it, by all means alter the rules for next year. But you can't change them or moan about them mid-series once contracts have been signed and those rules have been set in place.

Can you please tell me her username? Thanks

I think Kristina has been very generously praised for her efforts...and paid well...and has enjoyed a high profile in this series.

I like her and she had very little to work with obviously...but in all honesty I didn't much enjoy their performances. In fact there were times when I questioned whether or not what they were doing was within the 'rules' to which some people love to refer (but never produce).

She doesn't have to return to the show if she has a problem with what's happened.

This seems a bit much. You can argue about whether the occasion to speak at that point was the right one, but he actually requested (not demanded) that viewer vote based on the dancing, not personality. It's a point you can disagree with or not, but he did not 'demand that John be booted off' however you deconstruct his words.

I hope Kristina is back next year with someone more talented. She's clearly a very good choreographer and teacher, and I'd love to see what she could do with someone with more natural ability.

Hopefully she sees all this wailing and gnashing of teeth for the embarassing flannel that it is. Although if she chose to just walk away shaking her head at the lunacy of the British public and media, very few could blame her.

Kristina has easily become my favourite professional dancer.

A fantastic teacher with the patience of saint and a beautiful personality to light up the Strictly dancefloor.

She has been a pure pleasure to watch, and it would be fabulous to see her return next year .

Spare a thought for Kristina? You must be kidding.

Her profile has absolutely rocketed through all this....she probably can't belive her luck.

(I do adore her by the way, she is absolutely gorgeous, charming and definitely the best female dancer on the show!)

Kristina is lovely and a great teacher. I am sure she will feel comforted by the support she has, and hopefully she will be back next year.

It's likely she and John would have been voted out in the next couple of weeks but it is a real shame it has come to this. They gave great entertainment, whatever anyone else says.

It is a sad day for SCD.

She might be quite releaved as it must've been hard to keep coming up with routines for John and his limitations week in week out.

I think the splits may have been the first time I've said wow out loud by the way!

With out a doubt back next year and with a potential finalist I bet!
