On the contrary he'll be laughing all the way to the bank. This has knocked the reputation of SCD and if people can't see that then maybe they should sit on the judges panel.

I agree. John and Kristina going makes SCD less entertaining to watch for some viewers, me included. Simon Cowell is more likely to be a happy bunny.

but plenty of people watch scd then xf straight after. I don't get what difference it would make to his veiwing figures

SCD will probably get its highest ratings this week to see what the fuss is all about.

Any publicity if good publicity and will benefit the show.

X Factor had their controversay last week, SCDs turn.

Which is a shame because SCD didn't used to be like this, X Factor has always used cheap publicity stunts though.
