Wow! It would seem that there was noone in the competition who could beat him no matter how well they danced!

Shame Kristina wasn't there.

She was sat next to him. You could see her on Sky

in a funny roundabout way - John saying "there is no Stop Sargeant candidate" proves how dire the other contestants are........

Kristina was there. It hasn't finished. Presumably there will be an edited version of the full press conference for the main news bulletins and Newsnight.

And mine.

It's lovely to see especially after seeing him on ITT. The pressure has been lifted. Mind you I would have loved to have seen "murder on the dance floor".

Thanks Folks. On that clip it definitely seemed like it was all about John, so it's great to hear that they went out as a partnership.

It's about time he acknowledged the flaws of the voting system. It may be a form of democracy but positive voting has just as many problems as negative voting.

I like John and enjoyed his and Kristina's contribution but I still reckon he's an arrogant so-and-so.

It doesn't prove any such thing...even if that's what he was trying to say.

Actually I felt he was just making the obvious statement that with a postive vote and 8 people, the anti-him vote was split.

Where were they? It looked like a studio set, but not SCD, ITT or TOS. Anyone know?

I think a lot of people just don't get when he is being tongue in cheek.
Thought press conference was very funny and he has behaved with a lot more grace and humour than certain other people.

The rest of this series is going to be a smug, humourless zone without him.
Bet the other contestants are in frantic rehearsal as we
speak, they will be bricking it now

Spot on, I think all the other contestants are very samey, it's gonna be a very dull end to the season, them all so smug with themselves that they've lasted so long.

Really hope to see Rachel & Austin in the bottom 2 this week, that should shut them up.
Will the judges not realise that some of the contestants may be great dancers but are highly unlikable and the public won't vote for them with or without John's presence!!
