.

I was really looking forward to an Austin, Jodie and John Finale !

It's a real shame there will not be three couples competing once again. I much prefer it that way.

I didn't like the two people final but last year final was amazing so it really depends who is in the final 2

still prefer 3 couples tho

Worst thing about the two couple final is that you don't get to see the third couple freestyle

would have loved to see Emma and Gethin freestyles

I hate 2 couple finals

3 couple finals are always much more predictable... however we've only ever had 2 three people finals out of 6 series now... so a 2 person final is becoming the norm

I agree with the suggestion that SCD should follow the example of DWTS and let everyone stay in this week and then combine their scores from this week with their scores from next week - works perfectly on DWTS.

Does it matter anyway? It isnt as if Austin isnt going to win this years "competition"

Naughty, naughty, naughty!

Or in true pantomime style (that's how I feel about SCD today)

OH NO HE'S NOT!

What happens and god forbid if in the final week the "celebrity" breaks their leg?

Now that John's gone I'm voting for Jodie! Doesn't take herself seriously and is very modest, tries really hard, dances beautiful ballroom, dances not so beautiful Latin, and dances with the lovely Ian.

Plus, the judges would hate her to win

Perhaps - there could still be hope!

I hope Strictly do follow the same idea.

It will be intersting to see were John's votes go now.

OH YES HE IS or, um, I mean, who do you fancy to win then?

Youre so right about the pantomime aspect though. Or maybe a football crowd with the opposing team fans heckling each other.

We would have a very one sided final

and one very tired couple after doing ten dances

Jodies been my favorite (personality/partnership) from the start of the series. I only hope her public support doesnt mean she is the next contestant to find herself out of favour with the rest of the cast

It would be the best idea but they haven't done this in the last 2 years

I really don't know!

I'd quite like Jodie and Christine to keep improving so that they could be right up there with Rachel, Austin and Tom. At the moment I'm leaning towards Christine I think. What about you?

According to the Guardian coverage of John going, the BBC have 'confirmed' that someone will still be voted off on Sunday and there will be one fewer couple in the final.

I really wish they'd rethink this. It's a damaged contest after today's debacle (nothing like the reasons behind previous years' drop-outs); it damages it further if they have a 2 person final, whoever those 2 people are. Plus, the mood people are in now, whoever is seen as 'the one the judges don't want' will walk a 2 person final. (ie it won't be Tom or Austin - if I was betting right now I'd bet on Christine).

Hopefully the situation will calm down before the final so people won't care about the judges and will vote for the best dancer.

As for Christine she keeps improving she could be in the final deserving.

I didn't mean that Christine wouldn't deserve her place, I just mean that she isn't perceived as a judges' favourite. I think of the people who are seen as underdogs, she is dancing better, so I'd bet on her - at this moment. Sorry if it seemed like I was having a go at her.
