Im full of cold so going to try and sweat it out.

I usually got for a lamb or chicken Dupiaza or Madras with starter of Onion Bhaji and Boiled Rice, sometimes have a plain or Garlic Nan too.

Tonight I fancy something different.

Any ideas ?

I like onions and tomatoes, dont like spinich or anything creamy.

Want something relatively spicy

Any suggestions ?

Rogan Josh - it usually has slices of tomatoes and onions . . . no spinach (but, it has a bit of fresh coriander sprinkled on top) and not creamy.

presuming this is takeaway so you could go for rogan josh, they're quite tomatoey, sure you could ask them to put extra chillis in it, chillis are really good for colds and they have some kind of feel good reaction in the brain if they're really hot.

This is what I ask for at the take-away - and it WORKS!

Lamb Rogan Josh, Phal hot with extra garlic and tomatoes.

Garlic rice, Garlic Naan, Mango chutney (for dipping), and onion salad.

Always works for me, and hellava tasty too!

Have a Cobra with it too

Do you mean paneer? because I imagine having cheddar on a naan would be vile!

You think that sounds bad! You should try cheese naans in France where they use the equivalent of primula cheese triangles to stuff them. Truly horrible!

I went out for an Indian last week and we asked for a chilli naan - they must have misheard because they brought us a cheese naan and It was cheddar! I love a nice bit of cheese but it really didn't go with the rest of the meal. I'm pregnant as well so the smell of it was really strong and it put me off. I thought it was extremely weird to have a cheddar cheese naan.

If you like lamb and don't mind spinach then how about a lamb karai.

I saw it on a Rick Stein program and next time I went for a curry I had one. Lovely flavour. Like a spicy lamb stew though not hot, but you can always ask for some heat or just add some of the chilli pickle that they have on the table.

I've made it at home since and it's always nice. I put potatoes in it at home to make it into a proper northern stew

If you really want to sweat a cold out try a Phall curry, hotter than Vindaloo it will definitely clear the airways!
